Strawberry Daiquiri ... New Tga Subcool Strain

Discussion in 'Marijuana Seeds Banks' started by organicgreens, Sep 24, 2014.

  1. I recently got a 'tester' pack of a new strain from TGA Subcool seeds named 'Strawberry Daiquiri'. All I know about the strain is that it is a collab. between Subcool and his wife Jill. They crossed 'Kyle Kushman's - Strawberry Cough' with 'Jack the Ripper'. From looking at info. on those strains I assume its probably gonna be around a 9 week strain...and frosty as f*ck :) . Besides that info. I have had no luck finding anything else about it (which makes sense being that its a very new strain), and am as of yet waiting on a reply to an inquiry I made through Subcools website...

By the way...ALL seeds popped within 48 hours :) crazy. Obviously they are fresh!

Anyone else get a tester pack? Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

  2. You can send a message back for them to change the name, at any rate.  Sure Fire Seeds already has a Strawberry Daquiri - (KKSC x the White) x Tres Stardawg, been on sale at cz and other places for a while now.   Anyway, nice score, should be an interesting cross they have going on there.  HOw did the grow go?  how did the plants turn out, etc?

  3. How did ya get a tester pack if you don't mind me asking?

  4. I got the tester pack as a 'freebie' when I purchased a 5 pack of TGA seeds at the local dispensary. That's usually the way they are given out (as an incentive to purchase other seed packs). Other than that, I know TGA will occasionally hand them out at the cannabis cups, expo's, etc. when they have a table or booth setup at the event.

Yes I also came to find out there was already that other brand selling their version of Strawberry Daiquiri. Just a name though, no big deal to me...I figure maybe TGA just hadn't been aware the name was already in use by another brand. Both have the KKSC in the genetics, but the inclusion of Jack the RIpper, TGA put into the mix has me very interested in the end results.

Word is out from a few other testers I've come across that the Strawberry Daiquiris get tall/stretch like a sativa(so top them back several times is the plan!), they are also saying it smells like sweet, sugary candy :) , and yields are decent...we shall see how mine turn out!

I ended up having to deal with getting rid of a mite problem for a bit and so my testing of these plants was delayed. I ended up with 6 females out of the 10 pack and have just FINALLY put those into flowering about a week ago. They look great, all super healthy. I'll have to get an updated photo posted on here, an update is long over due for this I know :)

Nice to hear from a fellow tester :)

Even though only one of yours made it, sounds like it was a good one! Mine are doing well, haven't had a chance to add a photo update lately, will try to soon. I am planning to cut around 9 weeks as well....all of them look like they should be good and finished in that time-frame...

Looking forward to the finished product!

Looks delicious ,I think jtr genetics are very strong subcool is trying to mix qualities of jtr and other top strains to get a blended mix but jtr seems superior and its traits come out more respectively in my opinion.i was very patient in timing the cut and it worked out just fine. image.jpg View attachment 1777166
