Pax Battery Carry Time

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by PullinWeeds, Sep 23, 2014.

  1. Hey guys,

Im about to drop what could be a zip on a pax, and the one thing I'm concerned with is that I've heard the battery lasts an hour, but what if i were to charge to full overnight, and go about my day taking the occasional couple hits? Would it last me half the day or even the entire day?

  2. I think if you were to keep the heat level at low/medium you might be able to pull it off. I find that turning the pax off and on kills the battery fastest, due to the energy taken to heat the device up from cold to a desirable temp over and over again.

  3. There are cheaper options with more features. As I hear the Pax continuously cooks the plant material so, you want to finish the bowl. Depending on a lot of options there are a lot of vaporizers. I like the Solo, its big and clumsy though. The Ascent will be larger than the Pax with a far superior battery and glass air path. The hammer sounds awesome, and I want one. The MFLB is simplicity, although you have to keep some charged batteries on hand.

If you have your mind set on it its a good vaporizer,it makes some nice thick vapor but there are some things to consider. The battery life should be alot better for 240 and its an internal battery so you cant change it.

I Would look into some other vapes man there are ones that are more efficient for cheaper,If you got a mflb it comes with 2 batteries and you can buy more you feel the need and its like 1/3 the price of the pax

  5. Another one to check out with great form factor and a lot less maintenance than the pax is the Indica.

  6. Didn't read all these posts but I've had my pax for 2 years.. I charge it over night.... I use it when I wake up... Then at lunch... Then afternoon... And then before bed.... Then it needs a charge again

I usually start on low temp.. Then mid .. Then finish my sessions on high temp....

When I pickup herb I grind it all up really well in a coffee grinder so that It dries faster... The more dry it is , the better it vapes in the pax

I also use the pipe screen " trick" after years of practice and being an expert with my pax now hahaha. I realize you can get a nice looooong effective session even with half the oven filled, as long as there is pressure on the bud, to keep it compressed ( vapes best when compressed in oven, not all loose )

  7. Yeah i agree had my pac more than a year. I start on low then work my way up through out the day. I charge mine at night but it charges pretty quick, and i get a full day and the next morning if i forget. I love the size and i can get pretty ripped really quick with it. I have a airizer solo and its great for daily at home or parties. Now i got the cloud and some wax and im happy as could be.
