Because they seem to be "rare" and one of my greatest investments. It's a screen in a rubber. Prevents pull through, Scooby snacks. I have not found then in any other state either. And iv tried. It's so u don't have to put the screen in the bowl and ruin your herbs with metal... And that bowl is blown from the glass off an oven door. It's recycled and legit. Those are called guazes, except there is no rubber its all metal and they are used basically for bongs. Not rare at all.

I don't care about the screen but that plastic mouthpiece cover is nice. Would be very handy when smoking in groups. Pop it on when it's your turn to toke.
I've never seen it over the mouthpiece like that, but I'd prefer a screen in the bowl (glass if the taste bothers you) so you don't have a bunch of half-burnt weed stuck in your pipe.
Well considering I had only smoked 1 gram out of that pipe when that picture was taken I don't see the problem it's not really that dirty but when you smoke bud as dank as mine that's what happens. The mouth piece get stained from the first couple uses it was ISO washed with my pipe as well as the screen inside of it, one gram before these pictures were taken. It's rubber, therefore porous. Which means that overtime resin will collect into the actually mouth piece. No matter how much you soak it; it does not come out. Iv tried. And the bullshit on the screen is what DID NOT fly into my throat and mouth from the first gram out if it being clean. Sorry grasscity is so high maintenance. And sorry I don't like metal screens ruining my A+++ herb. Edit - you guys act like I have never smoked marijuana before. Everyone and there brother has/heard of glass screens. And every time I try an put one in one of my pipes some fucking body that isn't me always taps then out and loses them. Every single time... And the clog the fucking bowl to shit. These little things are a cure all for me as far as dry pipe smoking goes. I guess I forgot where I was on the Internet. No need to take offense, I don't think anyone here is deliberately trying to bring you down or insult your "weed IQ" Its simply the fact that people have different preferences. I think its a cool little device, always like to see new and different products on the market, but the point about good weed going to waste is a valid one over a screen further up the pipe which there are many different varieties of without having to resort to metal. Personally I prefer to use a perforated glass disc screen in my pipes, works really well and ash does not enter the pipe keeping it clean. It does have higher maintenance, but I like to keep my pieces clean anyways and my cleaning process simply involves soaking in grunge off so its relatively easy. While your method is cool and all, I don't really see a benefit other than maintenance, can you provide some others I am missing? Seems to me that is all people are pointing out and your offended by these opinions, you really expect to post something and have people not share their own opinions about your post? Grow some thicker skin, smoke a bowl, and don't worry about what other people think so much.
Yea well my whole point was it is something new to me and I thought it was cool. But I'm a fuck up in real life so I mayasweell be one on grasscity too. I guess I just don't care about saving so much " half burnt weed" as I can load another once I stop seeing green. :rollseyes: and I don't even want green weed flyin in my mouth either and I don't want to smoke metal or keep buying glass screens to have them lost. If it helps, I like that accessory. I would definitely use it if I had a pipe of that variety anymore. For whatever reason my smoking buddies have managed to drop and break 3 bowls. Can't break the shit I got now. A bubbler that I've thrown at BRICKS to test the strength. Not even a hairline crack.
i know ive never seen a screen for the mouth hole, thats kinda neat i guess. think it may be a bit ineffective though or allow resin to get in ur mouth but idk
