Hi I got into vamping a few weeks ago but I been having trouble with my nimbus atomizer RBA I have rebuilt it over 20 times I seen videos of people squeezing their coil with pliers when it's hot. But for some reason my cotton gets burnt after two or three drags. Idk what's wrong with it any suggestions? And another question would be how much nicotine should I get for my mechanical mod? I used 18 mg on my e cig but I feel like that would be too much for a mechanical mod since I have some liquid And it's hits pretty strong am I doing something wrong please help I been going through my liquid instantly.
Lower your wattage, it's too high. Maybe raise your ohms too. If it hits too strong go for a higher vg blend with around 6mg of nicotine. Less cotton is more. Also make sure it's really saturated
I'm no expert, hopefully some people from the post your vape (ecig) thread will pop in and help you out. (of course enigma shows up before I finish taking forever to write this haha) To me it sounds like the cotton is not saturated enough, you put the cotton in when the coils were still really hot, or you are heating the coils when there is no juice on the cotton yet Also, 18mg is fine to use. That's what I use in my rda.
What gauge kanthal are you using, and at how many ohms are you building your coils? As for the nicotine level, when I was on a tank system I used 12mg. On a mod, I use max 6mg. Prefer 4 really. You're definitely going to want to cut it at least in half or its gonna be super harsh compared to what you're used to.
How would I go about of lowing my voltage? I'm using a sony vtc 4 battery 18650 it says it has a 2000 mah @enigama @[member="Macka B"] yeah I think it could be that because I put my cotton in like 2 seconds after I squeeze my coils together @[member="Smoka-Cola"] I am using a 26 gauge kanthal wire. I need to get a ohm reader soon but all I know i wrap it 10 times single coal. I don't do dual coils because it was burning my cotton so quick.
If you haven't figured out the issue yet it may possibly be your cotton. You need to use 100% untreated organic cotton. If you use a cotton ball that a woman would use its gonna taste like burnt asshole no matter what you do.
