Why Do People Ask What Strain Their Weed Is Rant

    I've seen 5 similar questions so far today. Out of the thousands and thousands of strains, how are we supposed to know?! And then they give the shittiest quality picture they could get. Just smoke the shit. You either like it or you don't. Holy fuck. Is this weed good? Is this dank? What strain is this? It's one thing to show off what you picked up, and another to be naive enough to think others will know what specific strain you have.

    i've been here 5 years and threads like that have happened daily the whole time.
     
    that and the "mom just got me, what do i do" threads. 
     
    i mostly ignore it except when one is particularly good and i'll chime in. But you just get used to it. Background noise.

    We should try to help out our fellow gc members. In this case we can do so by mocking them mercilessly, making up strain names, or telling them that it is some Italian spice or other or (my favorite) hedge clippings.  I'm convinced a certain percentage of these are troll posts, but anyway it is all part of the fun.  Don't take that way from us.

    actually I've been a member since March of 2010. Then I got banned and made a new account making sure I didn't violate the guidelines a second time.
