I did the search feature of these forums but, I couldn't find the answers I was looking for. I've been eyeing a vintage (or so they claim) ceramic pipe on an auction site but I have a few concerns because I'm not very knowledgeable about the subject of ceramics. Judging from the pictures below, does this pipe look safe to smoke from ? I'm concerned about the condition known as...black lung. I googled the subject but it just got me more confused. Glazed, unglazed, fired, painted...etc. I also asked the seller and she had no clue
Ceramics were used all through the 70's and 80's for bongs and pipes. As long as it's fired, it should be good. No black lung don't worry. The pipe you posted in the pic.....yeah i would worry about smoking out of that thing.
