What's up blades, just wondering if any of you are pilots, or ever interested in becoming one? I'm currently taking night courses to get my private license and then night time rating, so I'm just interested to see how many stoners like to fly. Have always dreamed of flying but haven't taken any courses yet. I just don't have the extra money to get started. I see it as the ultimate freedom and one day hope to get my private license. Considering your buddy is a stoner and flying a learjet I'd assume he runs his own business and owner the plane? Because commercial pilots have piss tests, thou I don't know how often.
Well I can't remember which airliner he works for now but I got to run a bunch of checklists with him, he does not own it that's for sure but he has a really good gig for the airliner, flies the same plane, $200+ an hour and also a percentage of that while on call. Generally flies 6- 10 flights a week, ranging in duration. Lucky guy is always somewhere awesome in the world. He never smokes or drinks while on call, but he does smoke quite often when he isn't. I smoked a good 4 gram blunt with him, and although stoned, I could tell it wasn't his first rodeo. Next time he is in town I'll ask about the procedures about testing because I am curious myself. If you don't have the money to take actual lessons, get a simulator and some rudder pedals/ yoke. You'd be surprised how realistic even FSX or XPlane is. My school uses a simulator (FSX)with a motion platform and real cockpit and you before you ever go into a real Cessna you must pass the virtual testing. He said the tests they do on your body is insane. Nothing like pulling 12gs and trying not to pass out from blood leaving your brain I also remember the government doing a background check on him, they had people interview friends and family to see what kind of person he is, if he ever lied or stole that kinda shit, real fucked up if you ask me Sent from my Spaceship using the GrassCity App.
