    So today I got a dealers number but I don't want to spook him, and I don't know who it is, just that he lives near me. What should I text him?

    Yeah, like others said, it's a good idea to mention who you got his number from. Just make it short and sweet, and don't sweat it.

    Just be normal.  Say hi, be polite, tell them who you are and how you got their number.  Don't be a weirdo and I'm sure it will be fine.
     
    And when you go pick up from them, be nice and on time!  When I used to sell, I always hooked up the people who weren't being jerks or acting thuggish over a bag of pot.  And if they wasted my time, it was on to the next.  Can't express enough how being a nice normal person to a dealer can often times make the difference between "I got you" and "Sorry I'm busy"
