Nature Themed Tattoo Idea?

Discussion in 'Tattoo, Piercings and Body Art' started by ThePolishPuertoRican, Sep 17, 2014.

  1. Okay, so a little background on myself first, I'm 20 years old, male, and love being outside. A lot of my friends play Xbox hours on end, but I'd rather go hiking, rock climbing, fishing etc. I was looking to get something either on my shoulder, or forearm (top or bottom) I have a couple of tattoos already (they're on my tattoo artists Instagram if any of you are curious, just ask) anyways-

What is the epitome of a nature tattoo? (In your opinions, of course) it can be an animal or an object, but if y'all can start throwing out ideas is appreciate it.

My favorite animals are brown bears and wolves, ever since I was 4 and went to the zoo haha. Maybe a tree or a fern idk.

I'd most likely go in the photo realism route, but I'm open to ideas. Thanks everyone

  2. For myself I've been thinking about somehow incorporating some vibrant green vines down my arms, almost in a tribal sense. Elsewhere, no idea where on the body though, I also had the idea of a garden - your 'ideal' garden which is like your equivalent to the garden of Eden -  which can be added to over time with your fav things tatted into the tree bark, or behind a bush or whatever.

  3. tree of life in Nordic mythology it's a oak tree

  4. If you live in California, get a black bear and a redwood tree.

  5. definitely a cool concept. Unfortunately I'm from Connecticut haha

  6. Then get the state bird and the state tree for Connecticut.

  7. idk man, I think robins are kind of lame. Too bad it's not an eagle or a fuckin raven or some shit

  8. Guess you don't love nature as much as you thought. Robins are cool, and what's to stop you from getting an eagle or raven or some shit like that?

  9. Get an eagle pecking the eyes out of a celebrity that you hate. Get a rattle snake that just bit a guy in the ankle  Have him lying on the ground sweatin with death in his eyes and the rattlesnake is all laughing and shit. Get a fuckin oil spill from the exxon valdez. Get a seagull covered in oil. Get a tornado reeking havoc on a small Kansas community. Draw houses, cars and people being sucked into the vortex of the tornado. Get a lighting bolt striking someone in the head and have smoke coming out of thier eye sockets.

A sick mind is a terrible thing to waste.

  10. just because I like nature doesn't mean I'll get anything tattooed on me lol. It's got to be something I can relate to or something

  11. Dude! Those are great ideas! What about a giant octopus fighting scuba men?

  12. CT huh I worked at a couple shops there. Antonio from thread city ink in Willimantic does some of the best photorealism i have ever seen. My personal favorite for choosing a tat is to find an artist i love ask to see his sketch book and choose an original piece that speaks to you. That way its 100% original and artistic and no one will have one like it untill they copy ur idea off the internet. And trust having been on both sides of the needle, what we call sticker tats copied off internet do not get the attention to detail and are not as much fun as when u ask them to do one of their originals because u think its awesome.

  13. that's a great point. Thanks, I'm only 45 minutes from willimantic. My friend dorms at eastern, so he might even know. But, finding someone good at photorealism isn't easy. So thanks tor the recommendation! I'll definitely look out for Antonio

  14. Antonio and mike fritz are the only ones in ct that i would recomend and if ur friend is in eastern he has most deff heard of thread city ink its the best shop around, my teacher al is there and so is antonio, check out his facebook he did a photorealistic tat of jimy hendrix that is the same size as a quarter. Good prices good ppl and great tats.

  15. awesome man, I made an appointment for next week, I'll post a pic when I get it done. Thanks again for the recommendation

  16. I am currently getting a nature tattoo, but a winter mountain scene. I've had one sitting so far, go back this month and it has a lot of nice green trees, awesome mountain in the background and a lone snowboarder carving through the trail

  17. You have an excellent hobby, and I can express you the respect!
I want also long ago atattoo of the nature or mountains, but everything can't be made in any way. In respect of placement it would be desirable to make a landscape on a biceps. You should therefore try to do some research to understand the meaning of each design you intend to ink on your body
