Yet Another Do I Qualify?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Tsurani333, Sep 17, 2014.

  1. Hey Folks,

I currently live in Arizona, and Chronic Pain is a qualifying condition. I am 29 years old, I have had pain in my back for almost a decade. I had x-rays done several years ago showing that I had one bulging disc in my lumbar. I figured oh well its not too bad.

Fast foward a few years and the pain has been building and building. My pain finally got so bad that I went to a doctor. First he did an exam on my spine. He found six places along my back that are swollen and inflamed. My neck is 8 degrees rotated to the left off center, my hip is rotated 13 degrees to the right.

Then came the x-ray. My lumbar T1-T4 vertebrae are down to about 1/5th the normal disc space left. The doctor told me it looks like degenerative disc disease. Also I have scoliosis, and my neck is compacted.

My mother has had degenerative disc disease now for two decades and I do not want to go down the same road she has gone down with perscription pain killers.

I have an appointment for a medial marijuana doctor tomorrow, however I am still worried the doctor will laugh at me and tell me the pain is all in my head. Do I really have anything to worry about?

    Best Regards

  2. I don't live in Arizona, but would imagine they're fairly strict when it comes to medical marijuana (unlike my homestate of California, where in many places "I stubbed my toe" is a qualifying condition.)  That being said, as long as you can provide legitimate proof of your condition (medical records), it's hard for me to imagine a competent doctor denying your request--considering how real and serious it is.
    Here's wishing you success.

    Woohoo I am qualified!

  4. Worst part of all, waiting for the state to issue my ID Card... :(

  5. Here in Reno NV I'm waiting for my card and it has already been over 30 days and still haven't gotten it. Good luck!
