My First Vaporizer

1. Hi all, I am looking into getting my first vaporizer and give my throat and lungs a bit of a rest, im just worried that i want like the effect as i have quite bad anxiety and can only smoke indica leaning hybrids and full on indicas so im a tad dubious about getting into the vaping scene as i have read that the vapor tends to be more heady/trippy which is the complete opposite of what i like which is to just be melting into the couch with a little head high - i love cbd  .

i have been looking at some portables and some desktop vapes and these are the 1's that caught my attention.

. Black Da Buddha Herbal Vaporizer

. Vapirrise

. Extreme-Q Vaporizer

. Flowermate Vapormax V

. Pax

PLENTY Vaporizer

Arizer Solo

. Firefly

As you can see i am unsure weather to go for a desktop or a portable, i could honestly go either way but there is so much choice :/ My preference would be minimal smell, conserving weed, a device that would give me the option of  thicker vapor as im coming from smoking joints so i want to be able to tell im inhaling something if you get what i mean, thanks in advance guys, hope to get something ordered by Thursday :)   :yummy:

2. You want something with temp control that gets somewhat high. The solo has 7 different temp options but I don't know if that will be what you need. The extreme q has a temp dial on it and it plugs in so thay may be a good choice. I have never personally used that one but it is well liked. I had a SSV as my first vape and it didn't tell you the temp but it had a dial on it that worked pretty well. Look more into desktop vapes as they tend to produce bigger clouds and have temp control. Best part is you will be able to make edibles with the leftover vaped weed

3. Plenty Vaporizer is very good as a desktop vaporizer and also very nice as a portable (use cable)

Yeah, if ya think walking around the park sucking on conduit coming out of a hand held power saw won't draw very much attention.

5. So the solo may not get hot enough to bring out the cbd effects :/ I was leaning towards that as the desktop vape may be a tad to chunky, any alternatives to the solo that would be better suited to reaching higher temps then, any1 have any experience with the solo, if they could chime in that would be great, thanks guys :)

6. I'd have to disagree. I've been using the solo to treat my insomnia for over a year now. Crank it up over 5 and youll get some very nice couchlock.

Thats good to hear chzdgg, does any1 know of any portable that goes high in temp ?

I may just have to go with a desktop vape as they seem to do better with higher temps meaning more cbd goodness, still dont have a clue, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh  :confused_2:

8. E-Nano (epicvape.com) Clouds, concentrates, small loads {if you want}, bongs and glass tubes.

9. Purchased a Volcano vaporizer with solid valve set last Sunday...
This thing is fook'n amazing!  Was a bit pricey @ $550 but was well worth it..

10. Get the Solo and don't look back. It's portable, but can produce vapor as good as most desktops and at only about $130 is a bargain.

11. As good as most desktops? That is absolutely hilarious. Maybe as good as a few desktops but no where close to the big hitters of the desk top world.

Hilarious? No. Maybe you haven't tried a Solo? The Solo can definitely stand its ground against most desktops, but obviously there are more than a few desktops that can create more dense vapor....Evo, Herbalizer, Subliminator, Versa Infinity, etc...

And, yes, IMO, the Solo is better than the desktop models the OP mentioned.

13.
You'd take a very air flow restricted Solo over a free flowing Buddha for home use?

The basic reasons why portables cannot keep up with most all desktops in regards to vapor production are:

Less air flow
Smaller bowls
and heaters that cannot keep up with or put out as much power as a vape that is connected to an AC outlet.

14. I have owned a solo for over a year...

So you are saying the solo is better than the DBV, the extreme Q, and the plenty? That is a hilarious assesesment.

15. Yes, the Solo seems to extract better using a combination of conduction, radiation, and convection heating. I'm well aware of the differences between a power cord and devices that utilize batteries.

16. When I received my second, non flaking Solo, my Extreme Q was placed in the closet. With the same amount of herb put through each device, the Solo, IMO, was a much more satisfying experience. YMMV.

17. i can get the extreme q for £136 free NDD when the arizer solo is £140 so i think its a no brainer that i go with the extreme q, the dbv is around 150, do you think its worth the extra or not, thanks for the info guys, greatly appreciated

18. That's hard to believe if you were elbow packing. Anyways I assume you also have experience with the dbv and plenty since you said the solo is better than them as well.

Between the Solo, the Q and the DBV for home use, I'd go with the DBV, ESPECIALLY if you want a hard hitting vape.

The advantage of the Solo is that you're not tethered to a power cord so you can walk around with it.
The advantage of the Q is that it also does bags so if you are going to be using it in party situations, nothing really beats the idiot-proofness of a bag.

But if you want a hard hitting vape to use at home in a non-party situation, the DBV would be the best choice of the three.

this one may be suitable for you. stealthy, portable, good taste, thick vapor.
for a comparison between it and other vaporizers like Flowermate, Inidca, check this post out.

"vapor is whispy on blue, thick on green and very, very thick on red level, taste is like a good conduction taste, better imho than the T-Vape taste but not so good than Inhalaters..."

"Yes it performs better imo, in term of taste, it's a hair better but performances are stable unlike the T-vape whivh heat too much with fully charged battery and not enough with a bit depleted battery, with the Imag plus you get consistent session from the first to the last, battery lifetime is a lot better than in the T-vape!  Like you I don't really like my T-Vape but the imag plus impress me (only cons is the cheap mp, mine is already cracked, I don't know how since it didn't fall...)"

"Even though I enjoy it more than the FlowerMate, it still can't compare to the quality materials and temps offered by the Indica and Solo."
