Microsoft Bought Mojang For 2.5 Billion Dollars

I feel like if I was one of those people playing minecraft on playstation id be a bit worried lol

They bought it because they are trying to get out of the console business and into the gaming business. Obviously not not but in ~10 years or so.

 

I'll be worried when the head of Minecraft (Jeb) leaves. 
Microsoft has already stated they aren't stopping Sony/IOS/Android support with Minecraft.
They've also stated they won't stop people from freely uploading to Youtube either. 

I think Microsoft is being careful with this one. Hopefully. 
I just don't want to see another Rareware situation. 

But if Microsoft ruins Mojang, I'll never forget it.

Damn I know, you'd think with that much money there has to be some sort of project in the works. 
I honestly wouldn't be against a type of Minecraft sequel/spinoff. Well if it was done right of course. 
Or see another type of hit game come out of Mojang.

Time will only tell what their plans are, I guess. 

No way Microsoft spent 2.5b just to get Minecraft on Windows Phone. 

 

Funny how I see people around the net saying they're going to stop playing minecraft because Microsoft purchased Mojang. Are they going to stop using their windows based PC too? No

 

i know they arnt going to stop support, but that doesnt mean they wont make the xbox verison much better then the playstation verison, id expect the xbox one to catch up to 1.8 mucchh faster then play stations
