Hyperhidrosis / Excessive Sweating - Medical Marijuana

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by AlexDK, Sep 15, 2014.

  1. Hi everyone.

I'm a 21 year old guy, with hyperhydrosis/excessive sweating. I found that smoking weed completely stops the sweating, so I want to hear more about the possibility of using marijuana as a way to stop my sweating.

Problem is I live in Denmark, and marijuana is completely illegal here. Because of that, I can't talk with anyone about the possibility of using marijuana for my sweating, and there is no research of any kind, which means I can't talk with my doctor about it. So right now, I'm on some drug which makes me depressive, blurs my vision and has a minimal effect.

But Marijuana is still available and easy to get. And it's the same with marijuana for medical use. I can buy most kinds of marijuana and one of them is Cannabis oil without THC. I really want to hear more about the possibility of using Cannabis oil without THC, as a way to stop the sweating without being high. It's really expensive, which is one of the reasons I want to hear more before a buy and use it.

Have anyone ever tried to use cannabis oil, with/without THC, as a way to stop the sweating? I know there are other Topics (the newest one from 2012), but after reading them I'm still clueless about this.

People with hyperhydrosis or excessive sweating know how big a challenge daily life can be because of the sweating, so I really hope for answers, regardless if it's not the answer that I'm hoping for.

  2. It might be worth trying acupuncture.

  3. Is that something you have experiece with yourself?
Botox is not something i want to do and the same goes with surgery because of the risks and damages to my health.

Yes, after years of problems with sweating I went to my own doctor and then to a specialist. He pretty much just gave me the differentieret options like botox and such, and said that otherwise, nothing could be done.

  6. i would say yes try the cannabis oil, but not knowing anything about Denmark, i would say wait. since its illegal there your most likely getting it from a drug dealer/friend but my only concern is what exactly are they selling you, is it real cannabis oil, and do they know how to properly make it. it would just seem sketchy to me.

  7. The police are not allowed to go into the place where they sell marijuana in Copenhagen , so there's around 50-60 stands which sell marijuana. So you can always be pretty sure about the quality, because stands which sells shit, closes pretty fast. But sure, there's no official quality stamp.
I not that concerned about the quality, cancer patients buy their medicin marijuana the same place. But I don't want to buy the cannabis oil without the THC if, it's the THC and not the CBC which make me stop sweating.

  8. it would seem wise to get the oil with both thc and cbd as they work in harmony as nature created to bring the best result for your ailment. take out one or the other and the resultant effect is reduced but it is a big experiment for what works for you and testing strains is your friend

  9. Thanks for the answers. I've startet to take some medication, and that + the cold weather seems to be somewhat working (not 100%, i still sweat excessive). When I have the money for it, I'll try the cannabis oil for some time.

    and Merry Christmas!

    Thanks for keeping us posted!

I wish cannabis worked for my sweating! ahhaha I just keep telling people it's cuz I'm working so much harder than they are ;)

I agree, stick with a combo of THC and CBD - or CBC?! You can really get oil that's high CBC?! D: Can you send me some?!?! (jk unless you can) That's like the Holy Grail of cannabis oil right there.

  11.
This question is almost 3 months old, I know, but I use acupuncture for sweating and it helps a lot. About six months ago, I started going 3x/week and now I'm down to once every other week and hardly sweating!

  12. Thanks for the 2 late answers, but I don't know if the cannabis oil is super high on CBC. Keep in mind, that it's all bought illegal (even though it's sold out in the open without police interference), so there's no label indicating the contents of the oil. But yea, maybe I'm just ought to work harder until it's equivalent with my sweating :)

I read about the acupuncture, and it seems that it's part science and part some "new age/hippie" stuff about energy and so on, and I don't believe in that part, so I'm not sure if it would work then? It's pretty expensive for something that might not work, about 100 USD for 1 treatment here i Denmark.

I still love the cannabis/weed for recreational purposes, but now that I've got more classes at uni, I don't smoke that regularly, and do want to find a medical solution to this problem, even though it seems impossible.

  13. not sure if this was mentioned but my naturopath doctor prescribed burdock root years ago for my night sweats and after getting regulated back then they have not returned yet up to now. 9 or 10 years later. could work for you too, I added it raw to food and also cooked some in stir fry. you can get the burdock powder in pill form too.
