I've been with my girlfriend for nearly a year now and she's always been against me smoking weed. She won't even let me show her evidence of how harmless it is when compared to alcohol and cigarettes. I'm 18 and she is 17 so I think her age might be the reason she's not open-minded enough to look at the research. Any tips for convincing her?
You won't be convincing to try her anytime soon if she doesn't even like you doing it. Before you even try to get her to try it you should try to open up that closed mind of hers
Forget convincing her. People have to make their own minds up and do the research themselves. You guys are so young...find a girl that likes weed or at least doesn't have an issue with you partaking.
You gotta be up front about smoking. Show her that you can smoke and still lead a productive life, just don't be obnoxious and be in her face about weed. She may not ever be down to smoke, but her opinion could change about cannabis in general. If not, and she's trying to get you to stop because she doesn't like it, its up to you to decide if staying with her is worth the headache
That's the problem, it's more the fact she won't even consider the idea of it that I find hard to deal with. Thanks for your input
I mean at that age not smoking isn't a bad thing with drug tests for jobs and everything. But i do not suggest cooping up with somebody that doesn't share the same interests as you. Whether it be smoking or line dancing. If she doesn't like something that you are passionate about , it will most likely not work out in the long run. Just remember have fun your young
Have to agree with you, definitely a bad idea to start smoking heavily but i'm talking the odd occasion
If she ain't 'keen' on it, give it up. I've tried to get mine for quite some time and she'd rather die than try/use any street (illicit) drugs, including weed. It's not so bad knowing your mate is 'clean'. Comes in useful once and awhile.
My lady doesn't like it, but she let's me do it as long as I'm not with her, which I think is reasonable. She's not very educated about it, but I don't press the issue and don't tell her how often, which she is fine with leaving unknown to her.
I agree with Hypnotic.. you just gotta show her that even though you smoke weed, you're totally fine and you can be successful.
Maybe she jus dont like it... Respect her decision not to smoke n don't force it on her….some people jus don't like smoking n how it effects em.

high! you need to think about many things in life. what you don't need is a woman that is not 100% into you!! when i was young i fell for a girl that didn't smoke. i showed her every day that i loved her put her 1st , we had a child life was good. i worked every day to make a life for us. she wanted me to stop smoking because we where now adults. she would say shit like that i didn't love her enough to stop smoking. while she was opening another bottle of whine. she used every thing she could in divorce even weed. even though she couldn't prove in court that i smoked. just bringing that shit up in court. caused all kind problems for me. in the end she took every thing house, truck, friends, and my son. my advise is to find a beautiful new stoner girl that thinks, wants, and does the same things you do! i know your wanting it to work out and it may. you only get 1 life. think about it like this, and this is true ask anyone your girl does not see you any more what she sees is what you could be. what she can turn you into. do not let her. dude you are already a square peg she is trying to put in a round hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as Dave Chappelle would say run bitch
