Im told that adding UVB reptyle lights to my grow room will increase the THC production. Is this true, or will it actually burn and kill my plants?
some folks run uvb to increase resin production daily for a short time. direct exposure is dangerous to humans so be careful. id recommend much more personal research beyond i heard this and read that in a forum post
I've read about people who supplement UVB in the last couple weeks, but haven't seen any conclusive evidence that it has an actual effect on the end results. A controlled test, and a few funds for some lab tests - should be easy enough to test!
The preferred method us growers have discussed is simply swapping the HPS bulb back to the metal halide for the last two weeks. A MH throws out a lot of rays, I used to get skin burned transplanting. (cant call it sun)
I grow clones under HPS (very little to no uv light) and also grow clones outdoors under the sun that gives off more uvb than any reptile bulb could hope to produce. Thc production is exactly the same. So as far as I can see it's debunked. Uvb tubes will probably make the glandular trichomes shine a bit making it look like there is more
