I work in a shop, like a convenience store/supermarket. Yesterday I overheard a colleague serving a guy. It went something like this. CUSTOMER: *mumble mumble mumble* COLLEAGUE: Sorry, what was that? Something about drugs? CUSTOMER: No I said about a bag. I don't do drugs, I think it's disgusting... Then it broke down into a tirade as to why drugs are bad for you, how marijuana will DEFINITELY lead to harder drugs and how everyone who smokes it is a bad person. You get the idea. My colleague is a smoker and somehow bit his tongue. What was the customer buying you ask? A litre of Smirnoff Vodka. But he doesn't do drugs, only drinks something, a drug, that attributes to many deaths every year... I had to hold back the laughter.
If I were guessing I'd say he was trying score! But since someone announced it so loudly that people heard it he recoiled. He wanted a lil somethin somethin to go with his vodka. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I would of told him to go read some recent studies and come back and tell me why it is so bad. Ask him "Where did you get your information from? your asshole?"
I guess but saying soneone's story sucked just seems kinda disrespectful. If it sucked just don't reply. I don't wanna start an argument I just figure if you aren't going to be constructive with your post on a specific thread dont bother contributing. I came to these sites for insightful, laid back discussions and debates, not somebody telling someone that their post or story was stupid. That's the problem with shit like Twitter and Facebook, everybody wants to bash everyone for everything. Trust me I'm all for opinions but you don't have to be snide about it.

Like I said I'm not trying to argue with people, that's the opposite thing I'm here for. I just thought your post was unnecessary. We're all entitled to our opinion and everything so I guess post what you want really.

Nothing's wrong with vodka, nothing at all if that's how you choose to relax and enjoy yourself. Just seemed ironic to me. I ain't judging him, it's his choice but his attitude seemed a bit too strong given that he too was indulging in a drug proven to be more harmful. I'm not judging him for his choice of consuming alcohol. I too consume alcohol. It just seemed crazy he kind of went into one. Still, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and to air it whenever they see fit. It was just a bit of a contradiction.
I know what you mean man. People like that are ignorant. It's just because alcohol is so much more socially acceptable that the town drunk looks better than the stoner. Sad but it's true
