The plants have yellow spots and holes in them no signs of pests please help --------------------------------------- Equipment: My lighting is a 125 watt cfl and a 240 watt led My ph is 6.0 My water I used is 300 ppm and put in the recommended amount on my nutrients and now it's 900 ppm , I'm using GH FloraNova grow 7-4-10 My resivior is a 18 gal sterilite tub with 15 gallons of water 2 air stones with 2 air pumps A water pump with water lines going to the net pot Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I'm new to all of this too but It looks like nutrient burn. Are you using full strength of what it recommends? It's always recommended you start with 1/4 strength and work from there to see what your plants take up. Has your ph been maintaining a 6.0 or have you had to keep adjusting?
This is what I have going on! http://forum.grasscity.com/hydroponic-growing/1326685-bubbleponics-dwc-first-time-grow.html/page-3#entry20602506
I had that as well I just added more water to my tank to bring the PPM down a bit. Also once the roots are hanging down in the water there really is no need to use the top feeder. Plus if your pump is down in the water it will bring your water temp up. How old are your plants?
I found this somewhere online that I use. Im on my 1st grow to. Day 27 from seed. Indica's Seedlings and clones 300-400ppm 5.3-5.5 ph week 1 early vegg 500-600ppm 5.3-5.6 ph week 2 middle vegg 600-800ppm 5.4-5.6 ph week 3 late vegg 800-1000ppm 5.5-5.7 ph week 4 early flower 1000-1300ppm 5.5-5.7 ph week 5 and 6 middle flower 1400-1600ppm 5.5-5.8 ph week 7 and 8 late flower 1000-1100ppm 5.5-5.7 ph week 9 ripening 300-500ppm 5.4-5.6 ph week 10
So if my water is 300ppm from the hose and I add my nutrients and it ends up at 900ppm does that my my ppm is really 600 for nutrients ? Is that how it works? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
As from the tap? if so and your plants dont get nute burn then let it ride. From what I have read this is just a guide line. Some plants can handle more. Just keep an eye on them as you add more nutes.
Those roots look really brown to me and the air in your res looks to be not enough. Can't see any bubbles in your pic. You may be starting to see some root rot. "Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now." 1000 watt Scrog Journal
Did you rinse of the pellets that might be where the brown is coming from. The roots that are down in the water are nice and white. But keep an eye on those roots make sure they are not drying out. Make sure the bubbles are strong enough to splash water on the roots that are not in the water, plus more bubble = more oxygen to your girls..
U should be using hard water micro. Your starting calcium deficiency. You are getting stained roots either you need higher water levels or more oxygen in rez. What do you run your top feed drip on? Is it a drip ring or dripper head?
It's a line going to the bottom of the net pot , and it's stained cause of the certain type of nutes I have the roots feel great to the touch Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
