Why Didnt My Abv Edibles Work?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by grenks112, Sep 12, 2014.

  1. It was my first time doing edibles. Don't think I felt anything at all. I used a gram of ABV. It was all golden brown some of it darker but I made some hot chocolate with it. I put coconut oil in the hot water along with hot chocolate mix, some cream, and then my ABV. Stirred it a lot and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. I didn't strain the weed I just drank it down it wasn't bad. I ate a big meal two hours previous to doing this.

Why didn't it work? A gram is plenty enough from what I have read. Plus my tolerance isn't that high. Should I try a different method next time like firecrackers?

  2.
Get some cookie dough and sandwich it in between two lumps and bake it. It will work.

  3. Extract the thc into the coconut oil first then make some cookies or brownies or whatever you want.

  4. Simmer weed in oil. Use product mixed up in some cookie dough

  5. i feel like a gram is far too little for edibles... i use something like 7-8g for mine lol

  6. man 1 gram of abv is nothing at all...

common sense. its already been vaped. theres not alot of psychoactive THC content left.

when i made my batch of abv cookies, i used 21 grams. cooked it in 1.5 sticks of butter on the slow cooker for a whole day. then when i made the cookies, gotta be careful with the baking temp. if it goes over 320, your killing all the THC.

then i ate the whole batch. was high for 2 days straight. incredible

  7. What everyone seems to be missing is that ABV has already been heat activated. Just put it in whatever food you want to mix it with.
Hint: putting it in something spicy hids the bad taste of the ABV.

Apparently edibles don't work on everyone. My ex wife used to get so mad because no matter Howe much she ate she never had any effect from it.

  9. Because you had alread vaped all the THC out of the bud!!

  10. There are many cannabinoids in the abv which have now been activated(due to the decarboxylation when vaping) so you shouldn't need to do anything but eat it.
You could try increasing your dosage to see what works for you. I mean there is like 80 different cannabinoids in there so surely some will have some sort of effect. If your dosage doesn't work then you could try vaping it at higher temperatures, be careful though of course.
