How Strong Is Kief?

I always sprinkle a generous amount on top of my bowl, and it always gets me pretty blasted. Buts its only as good as the bud youve been grinding. A bowl of kief will def. get you more baked than just a normal bowl.. since its a lot of THC. 

 

it's concentrated, so more potent than just bud

 

It's like 50-70% THC whereas bud is usually 15-30%. So yeah. You'll get blazed. 4 grams is a nice stash though. I've never been able to be patient enough to get that much

Depends on the strain, but a good average is 40-50%.

You can decarboxylate it to convert the inactive THCA to THC, which would make it stronger obviously.


If you have so much, you should press it to make some nice hash

 

it will get you high but keif doesnt taste so great alone to me.

 

 
Smoking kief is like the same as 19 marihuanas.
 
No really cmon what kind of question is that?  It's going to be not as good as "really good hash". Noone can tell you the thc% without lab results.  How about you smoke it and tell us how strong it is?

 

its good stuff man, but since youre topping your bowls with hash regularly anyway its not going to blow your mind or anything

 

I'm about to roll a joint and sprinkle some into it, lovely taste, just make a blunt and put it all in. You will be baked for hours upon hours if your not a big toker or you will green out

 press it into hash with wax paper. put it on the paper, fold it in half, find something to press it with and push as hard as you can until it becomes a patty. You would then get something metal and heat it with a bic until it's hot. You'd then press the hot metal onto the paper and the kief would become gooey. press on both sides until it's all sticky. Much more potent than kief because the heat decarbs it. 

 

Put a gram in a backwood, then get back to us.

 

Yea I agree with @[member="D_Urbmon"], it most certainly is the same as 19 marijuana's. 

 

I was under the impression that kief was 90% thc, thats supposedly why it melts instead of turning to ash

Hope you use it sparingly... Good kief is pretty much the oily trichomes that fall off depending if you ground it to hard close to screen... Oil of any kind that's smokable will burn hotter than it's dry counterpart... And your throat & lungs may not be happy if smoked straight. There's always edibles just ask @[member="Ironhead"] he can tell you some great ways to use it.
Sometimes ppl think taking one big hit of something is the way to go... But in this case with that much sticky... I'd sandwhich it into a bowl/vape or whatever. Much easier to tolerate & makes anything you smoke much stronger in THC content. However, if it's a major hybrid of all the buds you've ground... I hope you know it's usually a stoney trip. Let's us know how it turns out you've got some $$$ of kief there.. Treat it like money in the bank, lol.. I mean you did save for a while. Cheers!

Solid crystals without leaf need higher temps to burn surface area effectively. maybe use really hot metal to sublimate for best results. And propane burner over butane in this instance. Dobby the dabbing elf?

 

I always shake the kief off my bud using the old quarter in the grinder trick and put it on top of a bowl. A kief bowl out my buddy's helix = feeling nice. Kief is strong as fuck but be careful, you will probably cough your ass off.
