2x2 seems to be the spot.. I wouldn't suggest smaller tho. Larger and it just becomes harder to utilize the screen to the fullest in my opinion. IT IS WHAT IT IS ! Learn&Grow
Quick update on my babies! Here's the 2 seedlings that have been around for a few weeks. You can see that the bottom 2 leaves are rotting off but there is lots of new and healthy looking growth! I think they're gonna recover! Same deal here. A little rotting on the bottom, but lots of new top growth! And here's the newborn that had the root growing out a few days ago. The root was turning brown because of the light and air, so I planted it in a small cup like I did with the 2 older seedlings. And I finally bought a proper humidity dome. The plug tray broke though, so I'm using 2" net pots to hold up the cubes for now. Here's the newborn that's not rooted enough to plant yet. It actually does have some roots poking out the bottom, but they're way to small to take a picture of. But the the root is branching so the plant seems to be doing good! Sorry for the crap closeups guys. I'm trying to get a better camera, but they aren't exactly cheap.
The roots are poking through for the last seed, and they're branching a bunch! But it is starting to stretch quite a bit so I might need to transplant it and give it a little more light soon.
I spent the whole day getting all my stuff built. I got my water barrels set up with 1 for RO water and another for mixing a large batch of nutrients in that can be dispensed as needed. I'm also building the supports to lift up my Hempy Buckets so I can have a catch pan underneath them. And I also need to build my SCROG screen, which is gonna be a major pain in the behind!
Well, here's my babies. I'm pretty sure they're doing okay, but I don't know how to get the 2 older plants to darken back up. There's also a little bit of weird coloration on the 2 young plants. Is that a problem? Does everything look okay to you guys?
Pics taken about 12 hours ago. Can definitely see some growth, so I think things are taking a turn for the better.
Well this hasn't been much of a "grow journal" but I just got demotivated by the lack of interest. Anyways, I ended up going with 9 plants all in 5 gallon hempies. I was feeding GH 3 part, but have switched to Jack's Hydro and Calcium Nitrate. They just got switched to flower yesterday. Here they are! Here's a couple stems. Quarter for scale
Looks like your doing a pretty good job man! When they start to flower they are going to be some monsters lol. Anyways look great for a first time grow especially with 9 plants and all lol. http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1298766-2Nd-Dwc-Grow-With-White-Widow.
Yeah man I just wish I started them all at the same time. I've got 4 trees and 5 bushes. Would be pretty awesome to have 9 trees!
Just a couple more pictures of my plants. Didn't bother to turn the HPS off, but whatever. And here's some clones I took about a week ago. They're in rapid rooters in a DWC bubbler. My nute mix is just 10mL/gallon of BioRoot. So far, 4 have popped roots so yay!
Updates! Here's my clones in my bubble cloner (basically DWC). Roots on the left 5 plants. Those are the 5 that rooted in the rapid rooters. I threw out the other 8 that weren't rooting because they just didn't seem healthy. These 5 really should be transplanted but I don't want the others to fall too far behind. Here's the stems on the 8 replacement clones. I made some crappy sleeves out of styrofoam. They were taken 5 days ago I think when the donor plants were in 7 days of flower, so there is a little revegging, but not much. And now what you really wanna see! Here's the girls in the tent. 12 days of flower You can see what the LST has done. I leveled out the canopy quite a lot! And here's a couple bud shots.
Here's the canopy right before the chop! So frosty! Here's the buds off of the first plant. Then I got lazy and stopped taking pictures. And here's the final result. Top rack: Bottom rack: Anyone wanna guess the dry yield?
Correct. I started in a 2x4x4, but I upgraded to a 4x4x7 tent with a 1000w hps while the plants were still seedlings. http://forum.grasscity.com/hydroponic-grow-journals/1331880-my-first-grow-ever-2-plants-ebb-flow-hydro.html?p=20643630
Holy crap I hope you're right! I thought a pound was being optimistic! But I've never grown before, and never seen an oz or a pound before so I have no clue.
