Molasses

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by double oh, Sep 11, 2014.

  1. I have about 5 weeks till harvest, buds aren't as full as I would like and was wondering if anyone thought some molasses might help. And if so what ratio??? Thanks

  2. I dont use molasses, but I heard its great. I use sweet by botanicare. Great product. That and molasses are carbohydrates that turn to sugar and makes your buds fatter and tastier.

  3. 1 tablespoon per 5 gallon bucket works real good, every other watering and then plain water for the last week

  4. I use it I'm my teas. Feeding my plants today. Mollasses provides a great boost to the plants and can sweeten up the buds.

  5. Ive only ever used molasses as a food to increase microbe production during the brewing of teas.

It works wonders in that way. I assume added at night, without sunlight, it COULD feed the microbes in the soil, who will excrete it as a food easily absorbable by roots.

But I cant say for certain. I will do an experiment in the spring, side by side with broccoli to know definiteively.

Bookmarked to keep my promise :)

Used once or twice in flowering at a teaspoon per gallon of water definitely helps out. Giving the plant carbs and sugars it would otherwise need to spend energy creating itself and yes in compost teas its an awesome food source for the microbiology as well as your soil if its a living organic mix.

  7. Thanks everyone!!!! I will take some pics, rainy and dark at the moment
