Uhmmm... a period ended not very long ago where the Royal British Crown was the most powerful force in the world and had an empire built around commerce and conquest that virtually made the world their bitch. The British naturally want this back; they were already pissed enough about loosing the American colonies, India, their African colonies, and of course the rest of their Empire minus a couple crappy islands here and there.

Our little island has been in the firing line many many times And not just from the war. The IRA for decades bombed the uk, killing kids and mothers.
