Using Cannabis, Scientists Discover Inexpensive Way To Dramatically Boost Battery Storage Potential (NaturalNews) A plant that is still banned in most of the U.S. offers amazing energy-storage potential that far exceeds anything currently on the market. Researchers presenting at the recent 248th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society revealed that fibers from the hemp plant, a variety of the cannabis plant, can be turned into electrodes capable of better storing energy in supercapacitors Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/046811_cannabis_battery_storage_graphene.html##ixzz3CvQDXWwb
alkaloids? first thing that popped into my mind, not sure if that has anything to do with it but I know the roots are high in alkaloids
eh, its mostly propaganda in favor of weed. his team started work years ago on this, the claims are still in the "make it sound more viable to get more funding and interest" stage even though plenty of work has been done. probably wont ever amount to anything, at least not yet from this team. they use the a method to seperate the "bark" components into carbon nanofiber like sheets
why are they doing this with illegal plant matter? why not just use a legal plant to get what they need from? does cannabis provide only what they need? weird and interesting.
Hemp is one of the most useful things on the planet, and it only comes from Cannabis. Fibers from other plants dont have the same potential
