Im in high school, living with my mom (who I will add is pretty open minded. The only real reason she doesn't want me smoking weed is because I could get in trouble). Im currently smoking from a small, metal, mushroom pipe I bought at a concert (http://www.grasscity.com/us_en/anodized-aluminium-mushroom-pipe.html), but I was wondering if I should purchase a dugout system, or possibly a glass spoon. I feel like the dugout would allow for a more stealthy, less smelly smoke session, and be easier to transport to my buddys house. Plus my dad used to have one, but I never knew what it was, so it makes me feel a little nostalgic I feel like the glass would give me a more smooth hit, though. I guess I could always get a glass one hitter for the dugout, and push a screen in there. What would you guys do?
For the one hitter, it would reduce smell, but it's definitely stealthy. They even have ones that look like cigarettes, which I used occasionally in highschool, although I usually just rolled a j and went in the dugout at the baseball field. Dugouts are pretty cool and very easy to transport. But I think glass spoons are more enjoyable. With one hitters you have to keep packing it, which is good if you're trying to conserve weed it forced you to pace yourself,
My friend has a dugout that folds out. It's about the size of a pencil sharpener. It his really clean, the thing doesn't even look like a piece unless you know what it is or smelt the bowls and the hits are really smooth and I'm usually a Glass pipe kinda guy. And honestly I hate metal pieces they make it taste nasty, too hot, carcinogens and all that bs. I'd get a dugout but stealth is not an issue for me. I loved my dugout. Its very stealth and holds quite a bit in the box. You can get atleast 2 hits from it. The only thing i didnt like about it was the debris in your mouth sometimes so definitely go with the screen. They make this think for spoon pipes called "save a bowl". Its basically one of those "livestrong/wwjd" bracelets for a pipe and it holds the bud in your bowl so u can carry it around. Easier than taping a coin on your bowl.!
Thank you guys, the bowl saver thing seems cool, but I feel like a dugout suits my needs a bit better. I could just put it in a playing card box, and throw it in my old toy box down stairs. A friends mom is taking us to the headshop tomorrow to ring us up, haha. One last question, is the dugout smellproof, or is there an easy way to make it?

the dugout I have is pretty smell proof. and you do want to be careful about torching your throat. I had to stay at a hospital with my hubby for 5 days with only my dugout, and my throat was hashed by the 3rd day. but that was because I was loading 5 or more bowls at a time. you don't need a screen in the bat, I also think I saw some glass bats online. keep a poker with you because the bat gets clogged pretty fast. one other note.. if your under 18 you really shouldn't be messing with anything that alters your mind. your brain is still changing. and there have been studies that shed a cautionary light on using anything that alters the brain before its finished changing. and don't take it to school. that's just asking to get popped by the cops.
Dugout is perfect for smoking while out and about. I suggest everyone that is a semi-regular smoker get one since they're usually so cheap, but handy. They come in a ton of varieties, but I suggest getting one with a longer pipe that is painted like a cigarette so its not so immediately obvious and the long pipe will help keep it from pulling the ash through into your mouth. I had a short stem dugout and hated it because it would always dump ash in my mouth when the bowl was done.
Ya go with a 1 hitter and dugout. Great for stealth smoking, containing smell, being conservative, a place to store your green, easy to hide, and easy to clean. Stay faded
I got a nice little dugout and bat at the local smoke shop for less than $10. The bat has a "pushbutton" that empties the bowl when you're done. The dugout can hold up to about 3 grams if you grind it up and pack it in. It's very stealthy, I smoke in the office and just blow the smoke out the door. Metal ones get hot after a few hits, I really like the idea because I got one from hawaii, but it's pointless. I need to find a small ass glass bat, my dugout is about the same size as a bic lighter lol
I've seen a couple of those, they look very inconspicuous! Though it holds less weed, I think the quality of the hit would be a bit better. Did you get one?
I love dugouts and used them for years...for stealth smoking it's the best. I like the nice wood dugouts with the swivel top, even the nicest ones are really inexpensive and every head shop on earth carry's em too. Dugouts clean to new condition so easily with a pipe cleaner and a little iso and will faithfully serve you for years. No screens, carries your herb, smokes and looks like cigarette, nice totally discreet wooden package, conserves weed...I promise you wont be disappointed if your looking for a stealthly high. Getting a dugout would be useful in a couple situations. One being if you're trying to be discreet. And the other would be portability. If these things are up your alley then I would invest in a dugout. I wouldn't get a metal cigarette though. They sell glass ones also.
