Does Anyone Remember Roachstones?

  1. I have not seen one of these since the 70's. I miss them so much. I can't find them in a LHS anywhere. I guess i have to order one online.

  2. Had one for a long time, well actually mine was a glass neck pendant with a lanyard/thong hole that I could stick a joint in by the crutch...mainly just made an easier handle for the j. good for newbies, and really cold days when your fine motor skills deteriorate.

  3. I think my girlfriend still has one in her collection, probably havent used it in 2 years.

  4. Yeah I see those at shops a lot here in Florida. Never bothered with one because possession laws are so crazy here though. Any two possession counts (paraphernalia or green) is an auto-felony so something like this never seemed worth it. Are they worthwhile? (legality aside)

  6. I went to the flea market today and saw at least a dozen at every smoke shop. I should have taken a pic!

  7. I live 15 minutes from a city with about 10-20 head shops. One of the lower quality ones had a ton of these and I had no idea what they were until now:). So yeah they're still around but I've never used one. I have used these roach clips my buddy had that were like mini tongs so you didn't burn your fingers. But that won't save your lips.

  8. I know a guy who has one. not that fond of it, but it looks sweet. it's some marble design.

Sent from my Spaceship, high as hell.

  9. got a rolling stones one.  it's ceramic glazed or something.

  10. I met this old dude, straight up hippie from the 70s. Hemp clothing and rose colored glasses. He used one, it was pretty cool. You can smoke the joint down to nothing haha.

  11. Yes I remember, we called em toking stones.

I worked with a cook who got fired because a customer found a toking stone in a bowl of soup, LOL!!

Great memories, haven't used one since around 87'.

  12. yea i got one like that laying around somewhere.. its gots a little leaf engraved in it.

  13. I own two of them and they're pictured in my gallery. The old school ones have two different sized holes (one for a big joint and one for a smaller sized joint ?) and the modern day Chinese manufactured ones have just one sized hole. I own one of each. The vintage ones usually sell for close to $20.00 (including shipping) and the modern day ones about half of that.

  14. Ok, thanks you guys. Glad to know that they are still around. I'll find one eventually.

I've never seen one, what exactly are they for?

Never mind, is it supposed to function kinda like a roach clip?

    That would make sense, duh.

  16. Sure do, from one old stoner to another, sure do! In fact I think the picture you posted was the same one I had 35 years ago lol. Used to enjoy them, nice handle and mouthpiece, like a reusable crutch.

I think a stone was the first piece of paraphenalia i ever bought. Thanks for the memories, 'School!

  17. Not fair!! I am now going thru all old stashes lookin' for the old one i lost!! Hahahaha! <3
