Ghost Of A Dragon

  1. He fought,
But everytime he had a grasp on truth,
    It was taken away,
No matter how hard he tried to love,
    Taken away,
    He saw the fates clearly,
He held on to the idea of hope,

But love was not substantial in any case,
And love was always the rise that fell the hardest,
    But in all apparency,
    There was never a chance,
    Never a clear choice,

    He was bent on living,
He was bent on destroying the lies,
The lies hindering him from truth,
    Freedom,
It seemed no matter what he did,
He always seemed to go back into capitivity,
    Then,
    Like a failing magician,
The mat was pulled from underneath him,

    And he fell,
    Never to rise,
    He lost all sense,
    Love in his heart,
For she was held closest in his esteem,
But the lack of strength caused her to fall short,
    Now she's gone,
And she took all that he had with her,

    Singing the song of peril,
    Hoping to live to die,
Dancing to the spirits of death,
    Prying open his eyes,
He is a shadow of who he was,
    Who he is,
Is just a ghost of a dragon,
For as soon as he came to truth,
As soon as he came confessing his feeling for her,
    She was done,
    She was through,
She didn't want nothing from him,

    So he died inside,
    And not wanting life,
    He gave up,
You can see his spirit in your heart,
When you stare into the moon,
You can see the ghost of the dragon,
Dancing with a seranade never finished,
    It's not anything real,
    It's something else,
For he know shes gone for good,

    But he seeks comfort,
A comfort only felt in her arms,
    And so he dances eternally,
    Left scarred,
Until all you see is a fragment of his being,
    The hope that is barred.
