  3. Im interested to see resultsas i too have been debating if i should trim on my next run, ive been reading alot of growers saying not to trim at all, LST or,SCROG instead they say. George Cervantes forbids trimming of any kind in one of his books....

The main Cola is the only considerable difference I see the trimmed one has the bigger one but also space is a factor the control plant has leaves all over to receive light and works to make food the trimmed one just sits and baths but is loving the opportunity to enlarge it's higher regions

  5. i will wait here for an update :bongin:

  6. Trim trim trim!!! :)

  8. Personally if I don't trim, I don't smoke. And I like smoking. Pick a few leaves, slow cure in the microwave then roll a big Bob Marley sized joint. I'm barely into flowering and these girls are already getting me fucked up.

  9. The trimmed one is puny and thin the control plumped right up entering the last few weeks now maybe she'll swell up. Ill pat pictures later but I forgot to water this morning so they might be Dad and droopy

  10. The red tape is the bigger one of the two the other is the trimmed she's starting to plump but the control is just clearly better yet doesn't seem to be as sexy

  11. Glad to find a trial run of this.

I'm have to make a trimming decision soon. I hope someone helps. First let me show you where I'm at.

This is today; day 10 of flowering

    What you're looking at is 4 plants in a tent, in a square, 2 x 2.

    They're all ladies don't worry.

Now my question is whether or not I should cut off those nodes underneath the canopy. And to be specific, here as an example.

These branches won't be getting much light so I'm not sure if they'd be better off chopped.

Here's a close up to help show where the plants are just about arriving to in their development.

All the shoots have developed white hairs all over.

If you need any more details I'd love to provide them but if not then

To Trim or Not To Trim?!

  12. If I may

Below are before and current pics of a reveg

Basically the same as a heavily trimmed plant

It does take a few weeks of not much, before all hell breaks loose

Now a proper light has a lot to do with it

    Updates in my thread

  13. Trim leaves if you don't trim you have a higher chance of getting bugs, powdery mildew, and your room will rise in temperature. Plus the leaves you do trim all that will just be more focused on growing the buds

  14. So what was the final result? Was one better smoke? Did one produce more?

Obviously trimming resulted in stress which retarded flowering time and yield potential. She doesn't produce new water leaves to produce flowers. She has to grow bigger, yes, to produce more small leaves and extend sugar leaves to create that lost energy to feed her flowers. She will appear to be yielding more when she actually doesn't, she'll have more to trim in the end, less potent buds, and you end up with more wasted time and effort. Trim your pubs and it'll make your dick longer. Oh wait... Only look longer. Sorry kids.

  16. I personally believe defoliating is just like adding another factor such as the right nutes. It all has to be done at the right time. I, myself wait until mid way through flowering and I let my girl use as much of those fan factories as possible then i trim, trim, trim and wallah a week later i have bottom popcorn buds that turned into grapes the size of my thumb, main cola starts growing new pistils like it's no ones business. Just use common sense and don't strip her when she's using/growing fan leaves.
