How Long Does It Take For Fresh Weed To Smell Like Weed? Lol

    Ok so I'm harvesting one of my candy kush autos tonight as it's extremely yellow and trichomes are 50-50 clear/cloudy. I don't want any amber. 80-90% of pistils turned orange as well. My question is after letting it dry for 3 days and then curing it how long does it normally take to actually lose that "fresh herb" scent and start smelling like skunk. I know if I touch the trichs and smell my hand it smells AMAZING but I cut a sample 3 days ago and let it dry and it still smells fresh

    it's all about the cure ;)
     
    3-4 weeks should suffice
     
    i burp mine for a week, couple times a day. then, sealed until smoked :smoke:

    Harvesting crazy early, more concerned with terpenes than health, potency, or weight.
     
    What's the smoke report on your sample? Shit that early is always weak for me.

    Some strains start smelling like skunk while they are still flowering. About 2-3 months in a mason jar will have it smelling dankity dank. Don't forget to burp your jars. Good luck!

    About A Week Or So Of Being In Mason Jars And Burped,, The Wet Smell Will Dissipate And Leave Behind A Dry Skunky Smell..

    Well I have another plant I'm harvesting later. I want to compare them. And I haven't smoked the sample yet. I've been letting it dry since Monday. I just rolled a joint with it though will be smoking it shortly

    10 days can make a huge difference in potency.... give that sample a toke before you decide to chop. My $.02 anyway :smoke:

    the sample was actually great. Better than I thought. All a head high it didn't make me tired at all and a joint got 2 of us high for about 3 hours. Taste was also a lot better than I thought it would. Considering it only dried 4 days

    Hang em for a couple weeks then clean em up and jar. Burp the jars here and there to allow air transfer and after a few weeks the smells and flavors come out

    Smoking flowers off a plant is absolutely terrible. Just not worth smoking and wasting imho.
