No. Nobody can tell what strain a bud is just by looking at it. Odds are, unless he got it from a verified source, or grew it from seeds from specific breeders, or clones from specific locations, it's not OG. Looks good though.

Who cares about the name? 99 percent of the time the name is just some bullshit your dealer told you to get you to buy it.

If it looks dank smoke it and give it your own name. I like to get some no name dank bud, and make up names to tell my friends like "this is some og skywalker mario kart fruity pebbles haze"

Why do you even care if it really is og kush as long as it's dank it'd be good enough for me I've heard everything from dealers like creepers kush and crap like that. Dealers will put any name on it to sell it.

If it is good bud, than it is good bud. But the chances are that your dealer has no fucking clue. Not to mention that OG Kush is one of the most common strain names that gets thrown out when the dealer has good bud and no idea what it is. Calling something OG Kush will usually make it sell faster, at least that is how it works here where the nearest dispensary is over 1,000 miles away so people become gullible. .

You can't really tell from the picture because every strain has many different phenotypes that are expressed based on lots of different factors like nutrients, climate etc.
 
The taste and smell are a better indicator of what the strain is.
 
From my limited experience with OG Kush, I know that it tastes a bit lemony and earthy and is traditionally a nice clean cerebral high and some nice body effects.
