Hi I am a new grower I have 3 plants under 400w hps I used fox farms ocean forest soil. My temp is any where from 73-77 my humidity has been low (35%) so I just added a humidifier today. Now its about 45-55 %. I have a plant just under 2 weeks that the leafs look curled under and disformed. I will try to upload pics.

  2. Watering routine?

  3. I have been trying to only water when my soil is dry. My plant is in a 5 gallon pot. I do think I may have over watered last time so im waiting longer this time. The plant is growing really fast. I will post another pic from today. The leaves just look weird to me. This is my very first indoor grow.i had ordered some fem seeds and this is one of the freebies so not to sure on the strain. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksIin advance

  4. Here is a pic from just now. The leaves that are effected are the single blade ( first leaves). Should I be worried or just watch the new growth.

  5. Um, the damage done to the leaves should be watched to see if it worsens, and correct, monitor new growth for healthy signs. In a 5gal bucket it is easy to have the middle or bottom still wet with such a young plant, try to judge by weight of the bucket. In theory you could fill a 2nd bucket with same mix straight outta the bag not watered and your plant should feel that light or lighter as some soils are just barely moist out of the bag.

  6. Is that the light effect from picture to picture or are the leaves turning darker green?

if the leaves are getting noticeably darker, then it might be taking in too much nitrogen to a point of toxicity the solution is reduce the nitrogen you give it.

  7. I think its the lighting. I haven't gave any nutrients yet.

  8. Id say its overwatered and soils hot. Fox farm ocean forest is crap. People have this problem every day on here believe it or not. Always add more perlite to it, it doesnt drain well.

And stock up on an arsenal of bug products starting with neem and bti for the gnats youll have real soon.

  9. Thanks poksmot247 I have already got neem because of the gnats...I definitely added pearlite but what soil would you recommend for next time. I think my plants are looking better. I guess we will see. Thanks for your advice

  10. See if you can find somethin called "recipe 420 soil"

I hear good things about it and i just started trying it out recently, but i recommend each person strive to build their own soil, with a vermicompost base as starter. So far no bugs with recipe 420 but pretty good lookin soil, lots of good amendments.
