Marijuana Detection Period

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by KashmirInhabitan, Aug 31, 2014.

  1. I applied for job at Officemax and I was asked if I was willing to submit to a drug test. I marked "No" in the answer box (which im regretting by the way) and it has since made me paranoid that they drug their employees. I read online that it will probably be a urine test and it got me wondering how long does weed stay in your system. Last time I smoked was two pipe hits two nights ago and before that, one small bong hit two weeks before. Is the weed still in my system or am I safe to take the drug test with no problems? I'm 6 foot 1 and 240 pounds (I know I'm fat) by the way, I read that that affects the rate at which the THC will leave your system. Also, I know this subject has been done to death but not everyone has the same situation.

  2. Stay clean for two weeks and you should be below 50 nano-grams.

  3. That's possible, I'm dry anyway. Now, if I were to get asked to take a drug test in say a week and it turned out positive, will I just get denied the employment opportunity or will other actions be taken?

  4.
I have no way of knowing that.

  5. I hate to tell you this but even being a weed smoker myself and someone who hires people, a no mark in that category causes me to throw out their app instantly. It sends alot of red flags for employers.

  6. Damn! May I please ask what kinds of red flags does it send?

  7. Anyone going job hunting should take a little break just to be cautious.

  8. I never thought that minimum wage jobs would take drug testing so seriously.

  9. Well it shows that the person has something they are hiding and it my not be this way for all companies but some it's against the rules to hire someone that won't consent to a drug test. Keep in mind just cause you consent doesn't mean you'll be tested.

you think they would stop with this whole drug test thing and start looking at the employees quality of work. Its almost like they have no freakin clue there are synthetics that work out there plain and simple....I work in a warehouse where they do pre-employment drug tests and at least 70% of that warehouse does consume pot....how about stop spending money on drug tests that we all cheat on anyways and raise up our Pay. or get us better shit to work with at work. Or higher more employees so where not stuck doing 40 things at once and thinking its not worth the pay doing 3 jobs for the price of one....just sayin.
