Covering Open Cuts On Plants

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by SmokeDaGanja, Aug 29, 2014.

  1. So I plan on harvesting my outdoor crops in stages this year, They are getting so big and bushy I really think I can improve my yield by chopping them down in layers. Thing is I have heard that if you cut a plant and leave it open, That water can collect in the cut and cause rot. Anything I can use to cover the cuts up with? I figure using tape might not be the best best I am not sure if the adhesive is toxic to plants. Anyone know of anything else that's natural or not harmful?

  2. There is no need to seal the cuts. The plant will grow tissue to close the cut naturally.

  3. Cut from the bottom up.Not the top down. Good luck.
