I believe i've read just about every growing guide on the internet, and am still confused. It's an understatement to say im familiar with cannabis in any way/shape or form. In a few weeks, im gearing up to start growing (1-2 plants to start) for medical purposes. I've read Home Depot and Lowes and Menards are less than stellar places to buy soil and such from, but its the only thing close. Im confused as to what all to buy. (ill be growing in a garage) using CFL's, as this is my first time, and using autoflowering seeds. Could someone steer me in the right direction with everything? I am very overwhelmed with beginning this, i never knew growing was such a science. Lastly, is there a "fast" strain to start out with. Ive read some can be harvestable in 45 days? Mostly looking for Indicas. Thanks
4 foot shop lights t5's are nice. Miracle grow organics choice is good, add some perlite, bone meal and blood meal and earthworm castings. Plant seeds 3/16" in solo cups of soil and cover with a sandwich bag till they sprout then take the bag off and leave it off. keep them warm, give them fresh air, plenty of light and clean water. Easy stuff, you will do fine.
You need a hydroponics store or a gardening store not the ones you mentioned. Speedy Gonzales grows fast as an auto flower.
For auto's I utilize 50/50 soil and perlite. I ready my pot and water to some run off 5-6 hours before planting germinated seed. I am not a fan of transplanting auto's. I much prefer planting auto seeds in the final pot straight away. Germinated or not. My general consistent temp is 80 degrees throughout the entire grow. I also prefer my auto yields when running lights around the clock. You might like the Afghan Kush Ryder for an indica strain. It is very potent.
