So I'm making a new light fixture to veg with some 5000k Cree LED bulbs and was wondering if there are reflectors for normal light bulbs of this size (60w equivalent) when the bulb is laid horizontally I can find them for bulbs hanging vertically, but haven't yet for horizontal bulbs (obviously besides huge HPS reflectors). I plan on using 8-10 bulbs, so space may be an issue. Any suggestions? I think otherwise, as ghetto as it may be, I could cut some aluminum cans in half lengthwise and use those.. unsure of the level of reflection of that soda can material, but I think it'd be better than nothing! Thanks guys!
check this out http://forum.grasscity.com/do-yourself/1260046-diy-beer-can-reflector-cfls.html?p=18995039 or you can buy a hood, like with a hid, that has a cfl socket. just do a lil bit of googling, you'll find something
The hood would be a no-go, I have very limited height and space.. especially for 8-10 bulbs. But yeah the can thing was my next choice if I couldn't find one for sale. Definitely better than nothing and cheap!
