I know this is pathetic and sad to say but regardless, i cannot control how i feel.

It's only been a littlebit over 48 hours since i smoked and I just can't seem to shake this feeling that I NEED to smoke. Again i feel pathetic because I can't sleep right or eat enough without pot, i feel constantly agitated, apprehensive, and i dont know how to get over these rough times.

I'm thinking it is mainly because i have smoked for quite a while now (6 years) and never really had a break. And the fact that i am currently unemployed, and laying around the house therefor by not keeping my self busy i am constantly FEENING for pot.

I smoked ciggerettes for 3 years and quit cold turkey (it was tough but i did it) I honestly find it more hard to even take a break from weed let alone quit cold turkey.

I feel constantly BORED without pot; All i ask from your response is some advice to keep me sane, some ideas to keep me busy because i just cannot shake the feeling that i NEED pot. The day goes by so god damn slow i just need something to speed up the time.

For the past 3 hours I've just been sitting here watching T.V and not a second goes by that i don't think "man i realy wish i had some bud"

Now i certain people claim that they can quit weed easily without problems. Well, this is not the case for me.

  2. gosh golly gee, its a good thing I got to this first before folks started filling your dome with some shit about 'a little break away from it is good :^))"

FIND a way to get some, man. you got some movies or cd's you dont need anymore? SELL THEM SHITS.
got a shitload of change lyin around? COINSTAR THAT SHIT, SON.
also, if you're on good terms with your weedman, you might be able to get a front.

    good luck.

  3. Give it a week or two, you'll stop thinking about cannabis altogether. People will be dicks and say to never smoke but moderation is key, and it takes a break to realize that lol

  4. I went for years without smoking and i could not stop thinking about how badly i want to get stoned. I finally gave in, and have been smoking ever since. What I do to bide my time, is post all day everyday for hours and hours and hours on GC. This forum gets me through dry time a lot easier than being alone with my own mind (ugh!).

  5. Never been in your situation but try and get a job then buy bud.  I always work hard and earn a paycheck so that I never have to face your situation.  Plan ahead.  Also do something everyday, go for a walk do some chores, even play some video games.

    1.  Your unemployed look on Craigslist 420 barter and offer to haul some shit, or clean some shit for trade.
    2.  Like the homie above said coinstar and sell shit
    3. i'll give you weed if your local to the SF bay
    4. Procure yourself a bunch of nasty shake, turn it into oil, put the oil in capsules and sell them.

  7. Listen, I used to get the boredom, hunger and sleep issues when I'd stop as well. It got me thinking, and so I interviewed stoner friends of all different lifestyles and I quickly discovered this:

THESE PROBLEMS ARE THE NUMBER ONE EFFECT ON STONERS LEADING UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLES!

Not a single person I spoke to who maintained healthy balance in their life between work, friends and personal time, who ate a healthy diet, and who exercised regularly, would suffer these symptoms upon ceasing regular consumption. Nor would they feel like they NEEDED to smoke, although they would want to regardless.

Almost every single person who had the opposite lifestyle suffered these effects.

It led me to the conclusion that marijuana is best enjoyed as a supplement to healthy life, not as a substitute. In those who need to change their lifestyles, it helps bring upon the realization that something needs to be changed for things to feel "right" at all times.

  8. Whatever the first guy said... he is GRADE A, TOP SHELF, retard. I felt the same way man. I get it, i would sit at home and want to slit my wrists from bordem, but you need to occupy yourself. Play games, watch movies... do need i state the obvious. Get a job dude, i honestly dont even have time to smoke or anything. Join a gym, keep occupied. Because being so reliant on marijuana isnt very good. Unless you do have a medical problem, not just being bored.

either sell some stuff to get some weed

    or

Occupy yourself, just do stuff so that you hardly ever get time to do nothing !
Don't stay alone with your thoughts, the hardest is at nighttime ... Gets hard to fall asleep, been not smoking for a week, and the night is the worst part!

And when you get some, continue doing all the stuff and become an active life stoner, it's a whole new feeling (not saying that you're a lazy ass stoner of course :) )

But don't worry, even after a few days, you'll think about it less.

Oh and try not to dream about smoking, happened to me on my last t break and it was such a bad feeling when i woke up and i was dry

  10. My old boss hadn't smoked in 20 years, told me he still misses it.

It's all about your mindset. Gotta prepare yourself mentally to go without, train your brain to not focus on smoking weed. If you can't afford it, then you have to commit to being dry. Treat it like pussy, if it comes around it comes around, don't chase it.

  11. Mmhmm..just as I figured..they came. Waggin' the finger, sayin you're gonna be unhealthy and implying that weed does'nt already go great with things like videogames and friends.

    Any updates, OP?
also, I hate to be THAT guy, man but..yeah try finding a job if only for money reasons

  12. So can we get an update?

Did u take any advice?  barter, sell, coinstar, etc???

  13. If you are by north San Diego I'll give you some weed

Exercise, start a messy-hands hobby (sculpt in clay, work on your car, etc), eat a healthy diet, take "B" vitamins and Omega 3, go places and do things! :yay:

Do not drink, or use "unmentionables".

Unless you are unusual, the worst of your problems should ease in the next few days. Just exercise like crazy-  it releases your body's own version of THC, anandamide! The "Runner's High" is due in part to anandamide! So grab an exercise video of some sort and concentrate on getting buffed! :hello:

Look, you can sit and mope around and be miserable  , or you can make the best of it and USE this time! And when you DO finally get hold of some cannabis, you are going to have such a beautiful high! :smoking: Your tolerance will be back to where it was years ago!

  15. I know how you feel man, Without that toke its just not the same. I know a couple of things you could do in your pastime without ganje :)

    1. If you need weed but don't have any just go outside and work for it! now a days its not hard to get 20$ for a 2 g bag and plus, Its productive. Theres no point in being a stoner if you just sit inside all the time :p

    2. Video Games are a hobby of mine that i don't think i could ever let go of, They are fun as fuck and i dont have to be stoned to have a good time on them! I would suggest if you have a computer downloading Steam and getting some games!

    3. If not video games, Just find a hobby! Just as much as smoking weed is, The world is a big place and their are much more exciting things to do out there then just toke up, You just gotta find them. whether it being working out, sleeping, gaming or whatever you like :) just find something to subsitute for the craving of the sticky icky my friend
