I would recommend a 4 piece grinder. You have 2 chambers...1 for collecting the flower for easy access, and the other for kief, the remaining pieces are the teeth for grinding the herb. These normally run anywhere between $15-60 depending if you shop online or at a local head shop. Stay faded
it depends if you want a 2 piece or 4 piece. a high quality 2 piece from space case or santa cruz shredder will be about 30 bucks and a high quality 4 piece will be about 65 bucks. expensive but worth it.

I bought a nice stainless steel grinder from a smoke hop in minneapolis. It is actually a 5 piece grinder not the standard 4 piece. It has two screens on the inside. The bottom screen is finer than the top one So the levels go 1. weed to be ground, 2. ground weed, 3 fine weed particles, 4 pure kief, 5. bottom of grinder. It is also 3" in diameter so it can hold a LOT of bud in it. It also came with 2 kief rakes. Got it for $45. Best buy ever. 2 years old and it still grinds like I bought it yesterday. My tip: quality may be more expensive but it will last much longer. Less expensive grinders will normally break down and you will have to buy another one.
I have a Sharpstone 2.5" 4 piece grinder. Right now it's available on their website for $28. I've been using this thing for five years now and I still love it.
