This picture is day 11 after sprouting. I have 5 plants
1 is a autoflower female (Royal AK)
    1 is reg  (Slee Skunk)
    3 are bag seeds

1 plant is female for sure hoping at least 2 of the others are. Once they show their sex I will remove the males if any.

I have a 400 HP light and some CFLs
Right now im using a 5 gal tank until the roots grow longer then I will move the plants over to a bigger tank 10 or 15 gal. Im using  Fox Farm trio for nutes.

    Keeping the Ph around 6
I have a 4x4 grow tent with fans and a carbon filter

Im keeping the lights on 24 hours until I change them to 12 on 12 off in about 3 or 4 weeks. Im using bubbleponics until the roots are longer and can reach the water then I will pull out the pump. I will then use the small tank and pump to start my next batch of seeds in a new veg area I still need to set up here in the next few weeks.

Im keeping the temp around 80 and the humidity around 40 and the plants are looking good so far. I have cleaned my tank once so far about to clean it again this Friday unless the roots are much longer then I use the bigger tank.

  2. 24/7 lights? Is that what auto's need? I know that's not what the other 5 plants need.

  3. 24/0 is best for vegging

    What is bubbleponics ?
What pump will you pull out? And what purpose does it serve until then?

  5. Why are you cleaning your reservoir so often? I only clean mine between grows

What is bubbleponics ?  DWC and a top feeder  http://www.growweedeasy.com/high-yield-bubbleponics-technique
What pump will you pull out? And what purpose does it serve until then?  The top feeder pump, once the roots are hanging in the water there is no need from what I have researched. The top feeder helps to get the roots water faster and more growth.

Why are you cleaning your reservoir so often? I only clean mine between grows.  I have seen other growers saying once a week and others every other week. I have only cleaned it once so far and will see how it goes.

Since I wont have time tomorrow to switch out the tanks I went ahead and did it today. Went from a 5 gal to a 20 gal more room for roots. I ordered a new dual air pump and my plan is to set up another 20 gal tank and if I have 4 females is to put 2 in each tank. Im gonna use the 5 gal for clones or new plants from seeds. Now I just need to set up an area for a clone/veg. Then when the plants in the 5 gal are big enough they can be moved to the tent with the 20 gal tanks. Just gotta get my planning right so all this works.. :p

I want to try a scrog but I read that for autoflowers this isnt good.

Also one question how tall should the plants be before switching them to 12 on 12 off? I know the autos dont need it but the others will.

  9. I wouldn't grow it with 5 other regular plants then. I guess that's just me.

I believe that you do not scrog autos because they bloom on their own. Therefore you can't fill up the scrog before it blooms.

I would not worry about getting the roots wet if you have an airpump turned on in the reservoir. Condensation and mist wets everything in my DWC. I've checked for this during germination of both of my grows.

  10. The idea of a ScrOG is to have a long veg time keeping growth short. But autos don't veg long enough to make proper use of a ScrOG screen.

Most people agree that after changing to 12/12 plants will double or triple in height. But the more you have topped it and the more leaders you have the less it will stretch. Genetics plays a very large part in this also

Are you hoping to finish the auto by the time you put the photoperiod sensitive plants in to flower? If you ScrOG them you could probably do that

    Day 14 from sprout

I can tell the seeds I bought are looking mush nicer then the bag seeds.
I took out the top feeder now as the roots are very long and are down in the water.
    Ph 5.8
    PPM 450

I messed up my nutes and got a little burn on a few of the leaves but I fixed the nutes to where they should be.

I checked the roots they look good just a little brown I added more clay pellets that I forgot to wash off 1st.

I should be getting my new air pump today so I can get more oxygen to the plants.

Pic 3 and 5 are the plants from seeds I bought   3 is the Slee Skunk and 5 is the Royal AK

    Day 16 after sprout.
    Ph 5.9
    PPM 450
    Lights on 24 hours
    Temp 80
    Hum 45

Few more weeks and should know the sex. If I have at least 3 females I will set up the 2nd tank so the plants have more room to grow. I went ahead and ordered some more seeds that I know are females. I ordered Sweet Tooth, Van Kush and Strawberry Cheesecake. My plan is to only have 4 plants in the tent at a time gonna set up a veg/clone area here soon.

Day 17 and still looking good. The one in the back left is a fat one. And the mid back Slee Skunk) is the runt but in the last 2 days she or he has grown a lot.

I should get my new air pump today so then I can set up the 2nd tank. I also have a few more 100 watt cfls coming to increase the light.

Later this week my supplies for my veg area and clone area should be here.

    Ph 5.9
    PPM 530
    Temp 80
    Hum 45

Plants are around 5.5" now gonna wait till around 8"-10" before I change the lights to 12 on 12 off.

Also I did some research and found out that Herbies sent me a reg Royal AK not a Auto. I still want to try an auto so I have Sweet tooth auto coming.

I better at least have 3 females or im gonna be pissed lol.. No more bag seeds for me. With Herbies you can pick any kind you want and just get 1 seed of each you want and then clone from there.

    Attached Files:

  17. These are the 2 of the plants I know for sure as I got those seeds from Herbies. The AK is a female and the Skunk?? Is there a way to tell what strain your plants are? Maybe by leaf design?

    Attached Files:

  18. I have this girl and her leaves are growing longer then she is taller as you can see in the pic. Is this normal? Should I trim some of the leaves?

    Attached Files:

  19. I would not trim, the whole point is to grow a big happy plant.
