So for the past year and a half I've been trying to smoke and not get any symptoms of anxiety or paranoia and I have yet to be successful. I don't smoke alot so my tolerance stays pretty low. That being said, I always vape with my PAX. Could this be the reason why I'm getting shiver attacks and anxiety whenever I get high? Could the vaping be giving me too strong of a high for my body to handle?

I know there are tons of anxiety topics every day but please put in your take on this because it might be the answer to my problem. Maybe I just need to actually SMOKE.

  2. I wouldn't know man, just relax while your getting high, if you think about having a panic attack your more than likely going to have one. If you don't do it too often, it might be that you are getting higher than what you can handle, try a pipe or a joint. listen to some music, get the good vibes rolling don't worry about having a panic attack then you should be all sweet.

  3. Have a positive mind set before you toke, actually look forward to smoking and having a good time. And since vaporizing gets upwards of 90% thc out of the flower as apposed to around 20-30% when combusting (smoking) you might have a better time smoking it. Roll up a fatty and stay faded :smoking:

There's a lot of good info about this already on the site (as you seem to know).  I'm guessing you're still getting too high a dose, so a first step is to do whatever you can to consume less.  Smoking might be one way - roll a joint and take one hit.  That will probably be less than you're getting with your vape.  I do bong hits of 30mg (0.03 grams) or less of higher-end weed.

I also have anxiety with Cannabis sometimes.  I still get some positive effects (primarily creative) so I continue to experiment, though like you I don't smoke very often.  Not smoking very often keeps tolerance low which makes the experience more intense.  Try to smoke the smallest amount possible to keep the effects from being overwhelming.

In my experimenting, I've found that the best thing for me to do is find something else to focus on.  When I'm feeling negative effects it's because I'm focusing on myself.  The best thing for me is to go out in public and focus my attention on functioning and all the interesting people and things going on, or go hear some music.  (I wouldn't drive or anything like that, but I can cross the street safely and take public transportation lol.)

If I stay inside I'd watch a Cheech & Chong movie or something like that. It might be full of stoner stereotypes, but there will be something I can identify with in my state of mind, likely including something about paranoia so that I can laugh and not feel alone with my experience.

I get the exact same thing whenever I smoke too much, I will start shaking insanely bad to the point which looks like I'm trapped in a zero degree freezer for 30 min, extreme paranoia sets in too. I think it's just from too much THC for you to handle at your current tolerance level, vaping is PURE THC as well, so maybe cut back a little. Whenever I take a lot of dabs or a huge one and am exposed to a little bit low of temps I will start shaking uncontrollably. I've been smoking every day for a year and it still happens from time to time

  6. Weed's not for everybody or maybe it's not the right time for you atm.  Either way, good luck.

  7. If your prone to anxiety like a lot of people (including me) you just have to smoke less, the anxiety will kick in when you smoke too much because the anxiety is part of your mentality,  if you can overcome and 'cure' your anxiety via meditation or some shit (sober of course) then you wont get your panic attacks while high.
remember weed is a mental and physical amplifier

  8. me three.
I too get the shakes, paranoia , anxiety when I really blitz myself....,  i can just tell that these are caused by a mental 'overdose' on THC,
cos during these 'too high' episodes Im still freakin baked as hell underneath and its kinda cool in a weird way,
    like 'enjoyably uncomfortable' I guess

  9. i Get anxiety sober or high but everyone is different.  Personally, if I'm in a good environment when I'm smoking, like in the safety of my room, I have no anxiety at all.  If I was out in public and smoking I'd be anxious as shit.

  10. Couldn't have said it better.
