  5. Jackson's fight against the national bank was awesome. His treatment of the indigenous peoples leaves much to be desired...

With that I would say George Washington. Everyone after that just gets worse and worse.

  9. Oooo that's a hard one. Fdr did help create our infrastructure. JFK was trying to fix the issues of his predecessors. I'd say both.

  10. \tBenjamin Harrison

  11. I'd say George Washington, but his military leadership was far more important than his role as the nation's first president.  So, I'd go with FDR.

  14. If you consider an abusive husband that beats his estranged wife until she moves back in with him as "reunited."

  18. Actually excellent choice. When Galveston was wiped out by a hurricane there was a lot of pressure on him to create a FEMA or for the federal government to rebuild Galveston he said that was prepostorous and unconstitutional and that Americans will generously give to their fellow Americans in the their time of need. Millions of dollars which was a lot at the time, flooded in, volunteers helped the survivors and Galveston was rebuilt in about a year as I recall way faster than New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and with a fraction of the technology and cost.
