Haven't heard anything by Boys Noize in years :O you can really hear the mr.ozio influence in the track, much more structured. Boys Noize just go hell for leather and tear it up haha
Damn, I was hoping this would be about the bass guitar and not the 'boom' boom' noises generated by computers
Boys Noize doin some sick colabs lately this one is fire https://soundcloud.com/thomas-hiver/baauer-boys-noize-runx
Nah my freind, what you're hearing is the bass of the future. The sounds of the next major era of music.
dk dude, I am stuck in both the past and the underground so major and new aren't really what I am into (unless it is a new album from a metal band that plays old school stuff). It isn't like I think this stuff is bad or untalented its just that I prefer the old school bass guitar to computer generated sounds. When I run my bass through a 450 watt tube amp and into an 8x10 or a 1x15 cabinet it is like hell being unleashed upon the world and I just don't get the same feeling from computer tones.
Trust man, a lot of electronic music is very underground, and always has been. Most of the music you see posted on this thread is not very mainstream in terms of electronic music. But i do understand what you mean by the sound of a real instrument being performed live, most of my family are musicians (guitar and bass) and i even have a few freinds that are complete metal heads (i do like to listen to some heavy metal shit from time to time, seems like people who like one extreme end of a genre gravitate towards the extremes of other ones ) and i will admit, it is quite hard to match the ferocity of that type of bass. But theirs a good few electronic artists that give it a fair whack I'm gonna have a trawl through my itunes and find a few for you who knows, we could convert you haha
