Hello everyone, I am still a beginner as I am close to finishing my first harvest. I ordered some seeds which arrived today. Order 18th, arrived 25th. I am looking for some advice on how to make this as successful as can be within the restrains I have. (space, lighting..etc) 3x auto trans siberian autoflowering feminised 1x delicious cheese candy auto feminised Thoughts as to having 2? Best way to keep beans stored? Want to start 1 germ today and will go with bag and towel method unless their is any necessary reason not to. My other post has pics of grow space but I'll try to get a decent one here in a bit. First auto grow, so if I'm wrong correct me but 24/0 for the first 2-3 weeks after sprout then 18/6 till harvest? Thanks for the advice!
Here is my space to grow. The baby there now is bagseed that happened to be female! Anyways, I have a thermometer that is hanging. Temp is 74F. Basically my question now is, is the lighting enough? I hae (2) 150w 2700k 2205L (1) 2700k 14w 850 lumen (1) 5000k 14w 900L (2)3500k 19w 1200L (2)5000k 19w 1300L That is 404watts and 11160 lumen
What the fuck! That plant don't look good man. What a waste of a life. Learn more before you sprout indoors please. Sent from The land down under...
Def not strong and perfect but she is recovering from her episode of too much heat. This has before and now pictures, http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/1326783-heat-stree-recovery.html#entry20515030 If I just read forums forever and never planted how am I supposed to learn? Yes my first time isn't perfect but that's always the dream. Clearly if it was, I wouldn't be asking for help but posting a how-to. If you have any knowledge of autos I would be greatful. Thanks!
Well instead of having 8 or so lights going, invest in one good light. I'm going with LEDs this grow. My last one was under a T5. Sent from The land down under...
Good looking lights. If I had a few thousand I'd have a dream setup, always been a fan of LEDs. Anyways 8/29 Starting to go, towel worked well and now she is in her middle home. Will have 1 transplant in a few weeks. The shell from the seed did not want to come off easily so I left it for now. Soil is MG organic potting mix/perlite until a sprout shows. Plan is to let her grow for a week or so and then transplant into final container. Some pics in a few but not much to show yet. edit: pics
Yep, day 1. And the race begins That's a clusterfuck of lights, lol. T-5's suck too, going by shan8's pic. You'd be much better off with a 250w hps but I'm sure you'll get it worked out. I grow my autos under 20/4 lighting from start to finish with good results. Glad to see you added perlite to your soil, it's so important and too many people neglect that part. Wormcastings are good to have on hand as well, pick up a bag if you haven't already. What are you going to do for nutrients?
Haha good description of the lights. Pretty sure the hps puts out decent heat and unfortunately no great way to vent so heat has to stay low. I'm pushing it with the 2 150w cfl. Outside room temp is 62, heat plant height is 73ish but if the door gets closed it can sky rocket to 90+ within 30 minutes :/ I'm planning on mixing soil with worm casings and such for the transfer in about a week. 15-9-12 to mix in as well. Osmocote plus, small BB looking pellets.
Ill go with 20/4 as well. I think they need a small dark period to rest up for the sunny growing I can't find anything about the stems/stalk turning purple which is related to my current baby. Is there a problem? I'll get a pic up in a few. Bagsees so not sure if it's strain related or an actual problem.
I've got red stems all over my plants, healthy as fuck but it's possible that I'm still not dialed in perfectly with my nutrients, it's also possible that it's just genetic. If there's no other major problems then I wouldn't worry too much about it. My plants are packing on a lot of weight so I'm not worried about mine. Yea, I didn't know your growspace was that small. My 250w is pretty easy to keep cool, it's in a 2'x2'x4' box and I'm not even running an exhaust fan on it right now, just leaving the door open with a desk fan blowing into it. Yields 5-6oz every harvest. Nothing sucks more than spending 4-5 months growing and running out way before your next harvest, and then having to pay top dollar for bud that's not even close to the quality that you produce. For me, the whole point of growing is to be completely self-sufficient, but I smoke a lot of weed and cfl's would never come close to achieving that goal. If you're not a heavy user then disregard all that, lol. I'm just thinking out loud Cheers!!
Cfl doesn't cut it.. Haha next year I should have a space to properly do everything. Any good way to keep beans till they are needed? I have 3 more but at my 1 plant per cycle..that'll last me till next year..
Well there's a Budweiser on the right so couldn't be that much of one..heheh That looks like some serious cfl, I'd love to take it off your hands, mind of I have a buddy who deals in electricity check it out? *expert comes in* Lights...wires..looks good! ..well I've got to make a profit since I have this overhead, how about 20$
