Fundamentals Of Language

  1. I propose a universally acceptable language, based on the principles of infinite comprehension, and freed posibilities.

Anyone here ever created a language before?

The premise of this language is infinite comprehension, therefore the language must be philosophically understood first.
"A great man is able to chew through ideas and understand them, before making up his mind whether or not he is to believe in them."

Empathy is also a premise, and is synonymous to the above. The idea of letting go self, and what you believe or think is true, just to see the will and experience of another person for a second.

But first, before this starts, anaylsis of previous languages and their contexts is needed. So we may find various context, grammar, and usage to be made applicable through our own.

Also jungian psychology might also be needed, his work with symbology can make this language very immersive.

  2.
I doubt that anyone here has ever created a language  :confused_2: .  What you are saying is that the words and expressions we have available to us are inadequate to describe everything we see and hear and think etc?

  3. My brother, who is quite savvy with languages and all that, actually created his own language full of complete grammar rules and everything...

  4. I believe the languages we use, is all very subjective, I'd prefer a much more universal applicable language, then one I can't associate to personally..

  5. I think I'm going to start with native american languages, they seem to be concurrent to what they really felt.

  6. I recently took a philosophy of language course here at UTEP college...  great class.  Everyone should take it.  It helps you understand just how simple things/we are from a reductionist point of view.  Opens the mind to different ways of thinking.

  7. I was about to actually create a new thread similar to this...however I'll just cut and paste it and post it here if thats cool.  If it's too far off topic just delete it...I won't be offended.

Words are simply just different sounds coming out of us that other humans have decided to assert meaning to based on an agreement of what those particular sounds coming out of us means. Therefore, words, definitions, and all categorizations are also man made; they mean nothing in all actuality.  Think about it, other languages have no meaning to us if we don't understand them, it just sounds like gibberish, but to the person speaking that gibberish it means everything.

Race, religions, and any other man made categorizations we can think of are merely illusions of the mind.  The mind desires separation for it's own security (survival/animal instincts) in an insecure world.. which is impossible.  Sounds like madness doesn't it?  Yet this is what we've done, and put so much attachment, belief, and factualization into.

Truth is the only reason we desire to categorize or define a person or group is to get a better sense of our OWN identity by dividing ourselves from that person, or putting him/her in our own metaphorical box so to speak...it's just food for the ego mind.  "Hey look at what he is doing, he is just terrible isn't he?  Thank goodness I'm not like that, I'm much better than him because I don't do or act like he does, what a _____<--(insert judgment word here).  I'm so glad I'm not like that person".

Divide and conquer by means of separation through the illusions of the mind and manipulation of the ego by way of meaningless words.  Does news, media, fabricated culture, nationalism, racism, sexism, ect.. come to mind?  Do you not think that marketing companies know how to keep you buying based on fearful thought?  Do you not know that marketing companies own pretty much everything and attempt to dominate everything in our reality?

If we don't give power to words,  words can't put us in fear, then words can't cause us to feel separated, therefore words won't give us the desire to buy or purchase anything to make us feel more 'secure' in an insecure world…then we've essentially transcended the game!

Life is beyond words... words are in and of themselves limiting in nature, they can only point to something, so therefore they can never be the absolute.

You can only lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink.

  8. It's actually very on topic..

  9. This sounds really interesting, so many languages leave so many things indescribable. If you've read Terrance mckennas food of the gods he talks a lot about language in there and how certain experiences can't be put In to words and therefore certain people are ignorant to these experiences because LANGUAGE CREATES REALITY. eg years ago when we didn't know about microorganisms that cause disease talking about little creatures that live inside you and make you ill would have labelled you as a crazy person. I may have gone off topic I'll leave it there

  10. What is the principle of "infinite comprehension" and what is the principle of "freed possibilities" exactly?

  11. I think it is impossible.
As someone who has studied 3 very different languages, allow me to shed my perspective.

There are two attributes to language. The ease of conveying information, and the ammount of information conveyed.

A more complicated language with more vocabulary is harder to learn, but more can be communicated in a short time. A simpler language is going to be a mouthfull.

Unless.... the op was a trick, and he is talking about music
