Hey growers, I just got into a new grow area and I cant figure out the best way to vent my flower room and I figured you guys could probably point me in a good direction.

So I built a wall in my basement that stretches from one end to the other and butts up to a small room with the breaker box in it. So Im sharing a wall with this said room and it is plaster with lath boards. The wall I built is facing the inside of the basement, so everyone will see it when in the basement. Here is a rough drawing of overhead shot of the basement:

So the fake wall has a hidden door and it is plastered over to match the basement cement walls and floor. I cannot vent out of this fake wall due to it being noticed. My flower room is my concern right now and it is being seperated from the veg room only by black/white poly with a zipper door.

My question is how can I have an intake and an output in the same room (that little storage room in the pic)? I know its not recommended but I may only have this option. Unless I can bring in air from the veg side and exhaust it into that staorage room. I dont know the most efficeint way to do this so if you have any ideas, Im all ears...or eyes in this case ;)

PS. I dont know what the hell happened to my pic, fooking paint p.o.s. :hide:

You can build a fake wall but aren't able to vent? Lmao
You could have a sealed room if you supplement co2, as long as temperatures aren't a problem(and they really shouldn't be, with 1000+ ppm of co2 you want temps in the 85-95 range to get to get the most out of it). Rent a 20lb co2 tank, they're pretty cheap and a full tank would last 1.5+ months.

  3. You don't say where you are getting the fresh air from outdoors from. You can't have intake and exhaust in the same small room because all you will be doing is recirculating the stale hot air, which neither cools nor gives you fresh air.

  4. Where is your washer/dryer in relation to your grow room? as long as it's not on the same side as the grow room just run the vent up and outside like you would to vent a dryer. or you could vent up into whatever room is above it, will save on the heating bill in the winter, just take care to put the vent hole under a cabinet or something where it won't attract attention.

I didnt say I COULDNT vent, I was asking if anyone had any ideas besides the usual solutions. I know what my ideal fix would be but Im trying to simplify. If I wanted condescending comments like yours I would have put this in the douche-bag section of the city.

I cant bring in outside air without drilling a hole in my fooking basement wall. Im hoping to bring in air from the rest of the basement and vent it out into s small storage room. Maybe Ill have to settle and have an intake on my DIY wall. I dont know I was just hoping to get some feedback is all....I guess I got it.

Thanks Ganoo, thats the only idea worth something so far. If I could give you rep points I would ;)

Whatever bud I clearly wasn't trying to be condescending, I gave you a solution. But be a dickbag. See ya.

  7. no reason to be a dick

  8. Rent a hammerdrill with a carbide tipped hole saw and knock a hole in the wall to the outside, do a couple of them while you have the tool.
