Hello fellow users! Hope all is well with you all?
This is my second grow and I have some questions....

Lighting: I understand from reading forums that watts have a direct impact on yield. The first grow used 4 6500k cfl lights. Of two plants, one being a hermie, and received 38 grams. I stressed the hell out of them. I have never grown anything and almost killed both of them by not providing nuts. I also have picked up that using using 6500k and 2700k to 5000k together provides a full spectrum that the plants like. The pictures look dim but believe me that is not the case. This area is lit up extremely bright!
    So my questions are...
A1. What will adding 6 lights do yield wise? I do not expect all three of these to be female. Hopefully they will be but the odds are against me being bag seed.
A2. Are the reflectors in the pictures on this forum too far away? I know that cfls do not put off a lot of light but that is a lot of lights in a small area.
A4. Should I change the anything about the color spectrum of the lights once flowering starts? Remove the 6500k bulbs and put in more 2700 or 3500k lights?
A5. Do we count 23w cfl lights as 100 actual watts since that is the replacement watts from a standard bulb? Or is 23w cfl flat out 23w? In that case I need at least 4 per light and am 1 short on that count. I will add another 6 of the 6500k if that is the case.

Soil: Yeah I didn't get organic soil. Should have but didn't. At this point I do not want to transplant them into different soil or pots. I used 1 gallon pots since I do need them going out of control. My question is...
B1. I understand that this soil is “time released” and I wonder if I should not being giving the recommended about of nutes or maybe a reduced amount? Plant 3 has shown signs of nute burn but that is not continuing. The damage has stopped and the leaves look nice and green to me.

    Plants Question:
C1: I get that different strands are different but what is causing plant 1 to grow multiple stems capable of multiple heads? Is that just the strand? I have one of my last plants do this and it produced most of the yield. I am not topping the plant so I am not sure if this just strand or a stress that I am not sure how I caused.

    Last question...
How do my plants look? I know that a lot of these questions have been asked to an extent but every setup is different and I am looking for answers directly related to my growing. 3 weeks old from tear drop leafs on 8/22.

  2. 4 weeks into flowering.
The plants seem to be doing well.
The pot sizes were just to small. Even for a one month veg they just grew to quick. 3.8 gallon was my the next size and the roots are not there yet. In week 4 of flower we should be okay. Correct me if the root keeps growing all the way through flower.
Same amount of lights. The plants never seemed to stretch for light and grew healthy. I worried about the tall one. Seems to be a sativa. When they are young it is hard to tell. About two weeks into veg it was evident. Then the plant continued to grow about 3  weeks into flower. The third plant was a male and had to go.
I started flushing every other feeding. I am light on the nutes but the leaves of the indica plant showed signs of nute burn. Washing between every feeding as stopped that. The sativa however takes it all in stride. He gets flushed about every two weeks right now.
Added 1/4 teaspoon of molasses every other feed. 1/4 teaspoon of Garden Experts 15-30-15 every other feeding. 1/2 teaspoon of fish fertilizer every 3 weeks.
Starting in the middle of week 6 to end of 7 I plan to stop using all nutes and just flush. I think I better wait another week, maybe 2, for the sativa. I understand they typically take a few more weeks.

Regrets: The nute burn from not flushing, not using a timer for the 12/12 sooner. Being tied down to being at home 7 am then 7 pm just doesn't work for me. Trying to force the 1 gal pots, waste of time and stupid risk when you don't have to take it. Not cutting off a couple more of the bottom branches. 2 or 3 more could have been taken off.
