Hello GC, finished my first successful (somewhat) grow. It was a paradise seeds Delahaze.

good high, i'm now hooked on consuming my own home-grown cannabis.

Today i'm preparing the seeds in rockwool cubes. They should be sprouted in 2-3 days or so.

I will be cleaning my grow closet and preparing the closet for the grow.

    LED 400 watts (true rated)

    Pics soon, peace

    good day all

Hi mate, I just read through your last journal, got to the end and it had just finished haha. I know the yield wasn't as high as you had hoped but you learned a lot so it's a success in any right.

I'm subbed in for this one. I does love a bit of white widow. I also love growing in DWC

  3. thanks brother, i'll try not 2 fuck this one up as bad

  6. Are you going to hang your carbon filter from the ceiling?

dunno yet GG, it's kind of heavy :p moving it tho would give me a ton of space

edit: gonna place both cubes in one (1) DWC bucket for the time being, need to order a new pump for the second. It'll be okay

  8. With the filter at the bottom it means you will be exhausting cool air from the bottom instead of the hot air from the top. If your intake is also at the bottom then fresh air is going to come in then straight back out bypassing most of the space

  9. I use 2 rows of cup hooks screwed in to the wood and then para cord laced between them cradling the filter. I do the same with my fan too

thanks, i could try and do that. dunno i'll have to figure it out cause i'm going to have to fit in a second (2) DWC bucket like the one pictured above.

  11. Day:3

Check out the seedlings, omg they are growing fast ! the new LED + side T5's is working magic. I think i've perfected my lighting for the grow space. Although the temps inside my closet are around 92~ , the fan is blowing air on the seedlings and there is water being sprayed onto the rockwool 24/7, so the seedlings themselves are cooler than that. closet humidity is around 65%. Seriously these seedlings are growing like crazy....can't wait to flip on the flower siwtch on the LED

right from the get go i know that this is going to be a much more impressive grow. these seedlings are growing by the hour lol

cranked up fan speed a little

  13. i will be SCROGGING btw, or trying to atleast :p

  14. turned on the carbon filter since it reduces the hot air. temps dropped from 92~ to 81. Sweet spot.

  15. Looking good man..

  16. I recommend running the carbon filter 24/7 for heat management, or at least setup on a timer to run with the light.  I too have a similar setup minus the better leds ( which im getting soon) and without my 4" inline fan + filter running I would be going too hot.  Those seedling are growing fast but way too much stretch IMO.  Either from heat or lack of light.

You should get some rope ratchets so you can lower the led light to 8-12" above the seedlings.

    Day 5:

check out the seedlings! there is definetly some stretch, but it seems to have slowed somewhat , might have been cause of the heat like you said man. I could lower the light a bit more, but it's pretty damn strong i don't really see the point.

Added GH flora series liquid nutes to Res.

Nets aren't really ideal for ScrOGing, you want a screen, a rigid one, hence the name "Screen Of Green". You can get by with a net but it needs to be stretched extremely tight otherwise the plant will just bully it all over the place.

I find the best hole size for the screen is 2", and you want a gap of about 8-12" under the screen if you can so you can get your hands under it to clear out small growing tips and immature branches once you are 2-3 weeks in to flower

I use plastic coated steel screen that's used for animal caging bought at a local garden centre. I make a frame for it out of 21.5mm overflow pvc pipe. And attach it to the lid of my DWC reservoir
