  1. hey gc  :ey:  :ey:
so what nutes do you use?
base, root stimulators, flower boosters and etc.
i think this topic would help new growers get familiar with what things they need to have good succesfull grows that dont die in the middle or something...
i use biobizz grow bloom tompax and root juice
i need to add some vitamin products and enzymes to the mix but the buddha is really good even with this  :smoke:  :smoke:

  2. I use Botanicare's Line of nutrients. Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow & Pro Bloom, Cal/Mag, Silica Blast, Liquid Karma, GH Liquid Kool Bloom for a booster, Bioag Ful-Humix (Humic Acid), PH Up/Down when needed. When I run out of the Cal/Mag I use Epsom Salt and Tap Water.

I start with good soil, Epsoma, peat and perlite.
nothing but tap water until the plant shows me it can drink a quart to a half gallon a day.
then nothing but Jacks Blossom Booster, about 1 LEVEL 1/4 teaspoon/ 1/2 gallon
If you wait until you flip to start adding flowering nutes it is too late

I've never seen a pot plant with a nitrogen deficiency, but plenty with too much

when I flip, I pretty much go back to tap water

Jacks is potent, and the plant will quickly let you know if you over do it

  4. I currently grow in pure coco, hand watered drain to waste. I use a modified lucas formula that's designed for use in coco. It's GH's  6ml micro. 9 ml bloom , 1ml botanicare calmag, ph'd to ~5.8   I also add H&G drip clean to reduce any salt buildup...I add about 1/2 ml per 5 gallons.  This formula is good from seedling to flush...I try to flush at least 2 weeks...straight tap water (7.2 ph / 220ppm)

When I was in soil/soiless I was using botanicare stuffs.... 5ml PBP soil bloom, 2ml liquid karma, 3ml calmag, 1ml silica blast. (I occasionally run this in coco too)   I personally had better results with the botanicare then when I was using foxfarm trio in soil/less. I also used to use ACT made from molasses , powdered happy frog fruit and flower, fish emulsion and a bit of liquid karma.

All measures are per gallon. My best results have been from the GH 6/9 formula and coco..which is what I strictly grow in now.

  5. im thinking of growing my next in coco and am wondering and reading alot about it..
but there will be a few days where i wont be able to water them and im wondering will they survive 3 or 4 days or will the coco dry out

coco seems like the best bet
is it true that soil produces slightly better buds?

  6.  depends on who you ask.lol
I didn't notice a decrease in quality when I switched to coco...I actually got better buds simply because I found coco to be easier to grow in and I wasn't making as many mistakes(deficiencies, over/underwatering). Soil grows great buds too, I just personally found coco to be easier. I don't think either method grows better buds...  ;)

Coco needs to be watered often and shouldn't be allowed to dry out like soil. It's pretty easy to jsut set up a dripper though...or even just set your plants in a pan of water with some over flow...they'll drink the nutes out of the pan for a day or 2 before they even start to dry out. That's what I do when I got camping. I also dim my lights if possible to make them dry slower.

  7. thanks man thats really usefull info :)
