Yes, spontaneous order works, but probably out of an environment free of stress rather than one of hardship.

Was that before or after the industrial transfer enabled by GATT?

  3. Outsourcing is a good thing. It passes less skilled work like the factory jobs to those who are less skilled bringing up there living standards providing us with cheap products increasing our living standard. And freeing up skilled laborers to pursue more skilled jobs. What good is your state subsidized degree if you work in a facrory? Protectionism is sickening in America. People never seem to amaze me how far they go to protect a way of life. Their way.

lol - good point! That example also shows the results when elitist power brokers wheel and deal and operate their public wealth diverter valves according to their quid pro quo at best, Robin Hood at worst, agreements. But what did the self-proclaimed experts among us - plus those who enjoy pushing their pet economic theories until they become public policy - think would happen?

  5. GATT and NAFTA are dangerous WTO treaties that are also unconstitutional.  The 1787 constitution was all about small government.  After the civil war England took over covertly because they financed the union army.  The civil war was their tool to divide and conquer.  Ever since then tyranny has been creeping over us again.

Here is an interesting proposal that works for smaller government.

Any federal legislative act can be removed by 60% of states taking action.  A good alternative that can work us towards anarchy by reversing big govenrment trends.  I think we will need Article V to end the infiltration of government.  For that matter, to get the countermand amendment approved as well.
