Everclear To Bud Ratio For Shatter

break up your buds by hand into small 1/2" or so pieces and place them in a jar and stuff them in lightly. Only pour in enough to cover the material and then gently swirl for 30sec. Make sure everything is frozen for at least 12hr before washing.

 

so you're doing a butane extraction first? you're thread title says bud so thats a little confusing

 

if you're using the process in that vid and doing butane extraction like JC mentions, then don't go by the amount of bud, go by the amount of butane.  2:1 butane to everclear - example - if yuo blast 300ML butane, pour in 150 ML 190 everclear.  I believe thats what most here do and what i personally do.
 
p.s. dont evap at 170F in that vid like that guy unless you dont mind that your shatter will have 0 taste.  Go 90-110F if you want to keep some tasty flavor.
