What Is justice ?

  1. Good eye mate!

  2. So justice is injustice, cancels itself out, pain is just meant to be felt at times. Haha, dude, your brilliant, thanks man.

  3. Its more like this.

2 wrongs don't make a right. "Justice" is just legitimized revenge.

It would be better if we addressed issues at their core. Such as finding out why some people get pushed over the edge and murder someone.

Don't underestimate the power of living by example. And don't underestimate the correlation between poverty/hardships and crime/general negative mindsets.

I think the best way to lower crime rates is to change the general mindset of society to be more positive. People are extremely impressionable and the media spreads a lot of hate

    Perfection Sliced in Cubic Disorder!!

  6. Isn't the right thing subjective?

  7. Justice is the social expression of love.

  8. Correct, but that would require an acceptance and some understanding of the human unconscious mind. However, we are conditioned as a society to be afraid of our unconscious existence.

Accordingly, until a movement rises to end that unreasonable fear, asylums and executions reign.

  9. The whole moral of a situation gone fulfilled.

  10. no. It doesn't require that.

Its just requires that we address certain social.issues like lack of employment and education opportunities and.lack of incentives to "be good"

  11. Is this thread about dead?  I was struck by a random example today.  We've been talking a lot about capital punishment for things like murder etc.  Heavy crimes that may/may not require heavy punishment.

How about the other end of the spectrum?  You're driving home from lets just say work, in the middle of the night.  You're not drunk or high or anything, and you always work this late so you're not super tired.  Your senses are functioning at their full capacity.  You come to a red light which is taking a while to change even though nobody is coming.  You drive across without waiting for the green light, but a cop on the other side sees you and pulls you over.

What is justice for that, and why?

  12. yup. Its a travesty

Justice is like vengeance, but more tame and usually less satisfying.

If that is true, you will easily explain how lacks of employment and incentives controlled mass murders here in Santa Barbara.
