Whats up peeps! I'm going to be growing a few Royal Queen Criticals from clones. This will be my second grow, but my first photo grow.

I'm halfway through a Easy Ryder auto grow right now (check my sig). When I ordered the EZ Ryders from herbies, I got what I thought was an AUTO Critical seed, but come to find out it wasn't. So now I have a photo plant growing with my autos. So what I decided to do was take cuttings from the critical, kill her and then start some clones. That way I can veg them with the autos while they finish, and then switch to 12/12 when I need to.

I will be using FF soil and nutes. 2x4x5 tent with 600w MH/HPS. I'm too cheap to buy a humidity dome so I'm using one of those foil pans with the plastic lid from the dollar store under some cfl's with the cuttings in rockwool. Then they will go to solo cups in the tent, and finally into 3 gal pots.

Right now I have 6 cuttings going, but will probably only use 2-3(still haven't decided yet) I will update soon once something new happens. I hear it can take a couple weeks to see roots. Feel free to comment, ask questions, or give advice. Thanks!

  2. The clones have been without the "dome" for about 5 days now. None have wilted so that's a good sign. I've been giving them a very light dose of veg nutes when watered. No roots showing yet. I know I said after these clones root I would kill the mother since I can't 12/12 her with my autos. For some reason I just couldn't bring myself to do it. So first thing I did was top her. Then at 6pm, I take her out of the light and put her in a dark place until I get up for work at 6am. Then I put her back in the light with the autos. I'll just have to continue this until the autos finish in a few weeks.

I've read I should wait a couple weeks before the flip after topping, but I figured she'd be dead anyway so she'll have to deal with the possible stress. It's crazy how much the mother or even the clones smell more than my ripe EZ Ryders lol. Guess I'll be pullin out the carbon soon.

Here's a few pics of mom and her babies. Just realized that she's been vegging for 6 weeks. Never done photos before, but I'm guessing she will be pretty tall when she's done. Hopefully the topping did something. My tent is only 5' so I'm gonna have to work something out. I also took her out of the 2 gal and put her in the 3 gal. She was definitely on the verge of being root bound. Just waiting on the roots to pop on the clones so I can get them in soil. Thanks for stopping by!

I now have 4 clones that have made to solo cups, and 2 that I killed off. All 6 clones did root though, so my first attempt at cloning was a success!

The mother continues to stretch each day. Hopefully she slows down because I really don't want to kill her. She has been 12/12 for 11 days now.

    Here's a few pics... :smoke:

Sorry it's been awhile since my last update. Been busy with my Easy Ryder harvest(12oz!). Now I can devote all my time into this.

Since my last entry, I've kept 2 of the 4 clones and they are in 2 gal pots now. Momma is in full flower and budding up nicely. She's huge at 4ft tall and 3 ft wide at the top, a fuckin bush. The clones are about 2ft tall now. I still can't believe how cheap and easy it is to clone a plant. This will save me a TON of money on seeds.

    Thanks for stopping by....Peace!

  13. Harvest Time!

Momma: 114 days from seed/ 73 days from flip.
Clones: 6 1/2 weeks from flip.

Well the days is finally here to cut down the bush that i've been growing for almost 4 months now.  I'm so glad I decided to keep her instead of killing her.  I;m glad to see her go though, she was taking up so much space.

I had to tie up almost all her branches because she couldn't support the weight of the buds.

I hope to get a few ounces off her. She was kinda neglected during her final few months because she was too big for my tent, and I had to angle the light to give her some. Now that it's cooled down, I broke down the tent and just grow in my open walk in closet with the light attached to the rack. This gives me over a foot of extra height for the light.

Here's of few pics of the harvest. Trimming this bitch was a pain in the ass.(when is it not). I've still got a few weeks left on the other 2 1/2 Critical. The 1/2 is a third clone that I didn't want to kill off, so I left her in the solo cup just as an experiment. She's the same age as the other 2 but much smaller. Size of pot definitely makes a difference in plant size.  I will be posting updates on the remaining plants soon. Thanks for looking.
